1. Lucas chased a shoplifter outside and around the store, until he finally caught the teenage boy. He identified himself as Warren, but what was his real name?

Answer: It's not mentioned

The character 'Warren' never really states his name in the movie. Instead, the character gives the staff at the Empire the alias 'Warren Beatty', which becomes his fake name throughout the film. When 'Warren' returns to the store, however, he insists that is name is not Warren during his frustrated rampage, leading all to wonder what his name really is.
2. What is the name Mark was contemplating for his future band?

Answer: Marc

Mark told Lucas that he wanted to start a band, however Lucas responded by telling Mark that the name of a band is the most important element. Mark continues by stating that he wanted to name his band "Marc" in order to achieve a "...psychedelic trippy..." feel, as his own name is Mark, however it is spelled with a 'k'.
3. Out of the albums Warren stole, which one stood out as being different from the others?

Answer: Whitney Houston

Both AJ and Lucas tease Warren for stealing a Whitney Houston CD.
4. The store Empire Records was first opened in 1969.

Answer: False

According to the sign above the store, Empire Records was established in 1959.
5. How old was Lucas when his mother turned him over to the state?

Answer: 10

During Deb's fake funeral, Lucas confessed about his bed wetting as a child, and how his mother gave him up to the state when he was ten years old, because he was a bad seed.
6. What did the button Deb gave Cory say?

Answer: Dis-honest

Deb made several buttons, both to give her co-workers, and to sell. AJ received one which said 'stupid', and Mark got one too.
7. What was the slogan the workers used in order to raise money for The Empire?

Answer: Damn the man!

At the beginning of the film, Lucas was trusted as a closer, and therefore he had to deposit the day's earnings into the bank. Unfortunately Lucas took the money to Atlantic City, where he lost it all on craps. Because the money was to help save The Empire from becoming a Music Town, the gang had to start fundraising the money Lucas had lost, using the phrase "Damn the man!" as their slogan.
8. What band did Mark imagine himself to be a part of while eating his magic brownies?

Answer: Gwar

Mark decided to eat his magic brownies while watching music videos in the store's office. While watching a video by Gwar, he began to see himself as a member of the band, but it ended sourly when he imagined himself being eaten by a creature in the video.
9. Which actor in the Television series "Dragnet" (2003) appeared as one of the main characters in "Empire Records"?

Answer: Ethan Embry

Ethan Embry played Mark, the unusually hyper, always funloving worker at "Empire Records". Throughout his career, Embry also acted in "Can't Hardly Wait", "Sweet Home Alabama", and "Disturbing Behaviour".
10. What was the movie's tagline?

Answer: Open til' midnight!

The final bout of fund raising occurred with a giant party at The Empire, and because The Empire was open to midnight, the party was a hit! With the money raised from the party, the gang from The Empire were able to keep The Empire open, and allow Joe to become the new proud owner!
