Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Three of the four actors inside the turtle costumes for the movie also appeared in other scenes with cameo appearances. Which turtle's actor didn't get his face shown in the movie?

Answer: Raphael

Mark Caso played Leonardo and also a member of the Channel 6 news team shown in newsroom shots.

Michelan Sisti played Michelangelo and also a man on the street in a scene shot in Soho.

Leif Tilden played Donatello and also a member of the Foot Clan that took his mask off and spoke to April in one scene.

Kenn Scott played Raphael but was not able to find a cameo that he fit a description for.

None of the four actors who provided voices for the turtles appeared on screen.

Director Michael Pressman also appeared as the newsroom manager in one scene.
2. Which national pizza chain bought the product placement rights to be the pizza delivered to the Turtles while they were in April's apartment?

Answer: Pizza Hut

Dominoes was the sponsored pizza in the first film after Pizza Hut claimed the turtles weren't worth the money the production company wanted for the placement.

Just in time for the sequel, Pizza Hut stepped up and was the only chain pizza seen within the movie.
3. In a bit of an inside joke, when cleaning her apartment April O'Neil grabbed a stack of magazines and comic books. The top book on the pile was an early issue of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles".

Answer: True

The comic was from the "Adventures" line, which can be identified from the color panels, but the exact issue number was not able to be identified in the quick moment it could be seen.
4. "Cowabunga" was one of the catchphrases the Turtles used frequently. What yellow-colored cartoon character who also used that term a lot made a cameo via an appearance on a glass used to mix chemicals?

Answer: Bart Simpson

Bart Simpson of the long-running show "The Simpsons" was depicted on a glass that the retro mutagen was mixed in prior to being hidden in doughnuts that were fed to movie bad guys Tokka and Rahzar.

The two baddies were also mutated animals, but trained to fight against the turtles.
5. What is the name of the company that produced the "ooze" mentioned in the title?

Answer: TGRI

Techno Global Research Institute was the company responsible for creating the turtles in the continuity of the first three live-action films.

The company also appeared in at least two animated series, video games and comic books, but in those it was known as TCRI.
6. After Shredder drank the canister of ooze and mutated into the Super Shredder, what animal did he mutate into?

Answer: No animal, just a bigger human with more metal spikes and armor

The filmmakers never explained why the ooze made other animals mutate to become more human-like, but the human Shredder to basically just grow taller and more muscular.

It was also not explained why his armor mutated.
7. Who directed the film?

Answer: Michael Pressman

Barron directed the first movie in the franchise, Gillard the third. Eastman along with Peter Laird created the turtles comics.

Other movies directed by Pressman include "The Great Texas Dynamite Chase", "The Bad News Bears in Breaking Training", "Some Kind of Hero" and "Doctor Detroit". He has directed mostly television series after helming the "Turtles" movie.
8. Corey Feldman was the voice of Donatello in the first and third movies in the franchise. Who filled in and voiced the character in this film?

Answer: Adam Carl

Saki and Jones were characters in the Turtles mythos.

Feldman had a bad drug and alcohol addiction and was unable to do the role as he was in rehab during the time he was needed. He cleaned his life up, returned to the character in the third film and as in inside joke voiced some of the villain characters in the 2012 iteration of the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" animated television series.

Carl worked as both a live action and voice actor on more than 40 projects. His work includes appearances in "Batman: The Animated Series", and "Defenders of the Earth" as a voice actor. As a live action actor he was worked on "Days of Our Lives", "Hearts Afire", and "Designing Women".
9. What role did legendary voice actor Frank Welker have in this film?

Answer: Voice of both Tokka and Rahzar

Welker already had more than 500 roles on his resume when he was asked to do a voice role in this film.

Due to his ability to change his voice so quickly he provided the voice of both evil mutants, without many people realizing it prior to the credits rolling.
10. What was the secret of the ooze, as explained in the movie?

Answer: The secret was who made it.

Fans were hoping, based on the title, for a story that delved into exactly how the mutagen --or ooze-- was created. Instead the only line mentioning why the ooze was made references it being an accident.

There were no explanations for what TGRI was trying to make, or other experiments that might have been conducted with the ooze was offered in the film.

The Turtles did find not only the company, but the scientist responsible for the creation of the ooze, but that's as close to uncovering the secrets of it as they got.
