Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Anakin Skywalker won a podrace.

The Naboo delegation needed to get to Coruscant but had a broken ship. They limped to Tatooine, but did not have any local currency to buy replacement parts. They bet on a podrace (using their own ship as collateral) to get the money they needed to fix the ship, and rescued a slave boy in the process who would become very important in galactic history. Anakin won the podrace at 1:09 in "The Phantom Menace", at about the half-way point of the movie.
2. Chancellor Velorum was removed from office.

Palpatine was the Senator for Naboo. He secretly engineered the blockade of his own home planet just to generate a crisis for the government. Using the crisis, Palpatine coerced the Senate to hold a vote of no confidence to oust the sitting Supreme Chancellor, opening the way for him to take the top job.

At Palpatine's suggestion, Queen Amidala called for the vote at 1:29 in "The Phantom Menace". By the end of the movie, Palpatine was the new Supreme Chancellor.
3. Queen Amidala regained control of Naboo from the Trade Federation.

The plot of "The Phantom Menace" was that the Sith engineered a conflict on the peaceful planet of Naboo to create a crisis that could be exploited. The Trade Federation was cajoled into setting up a blockade and then invading the planet on the flimsiest of pretenses. What the Sith did not anticipate was an alliance between the native Gungans and the humans of Naboo, nor the boldness of the young Queen. Amidala, with the help of the Gungans (and maybe the Force), took back control of her planet at the end of "Episode I".
4. An assassin was chased through the streets of Coruscant.

Padmé Amidala was back on Coruscant ten years after "The Phantom Menace", this time as a Senator. She was a major opponent of the movement to militarize the Republic and had made the trip to cast her vote, so assassins were sent after her. She was first ambushed when she landed, but it was her decoy who died. Anakin and Obi-wan were tasked with providing security of Padmé in response.

When assassin Zam Wessle made another attempt on Padmé's life, the Jedi chased her down. Zam was killed by another mysterious figure before she could reveal anything.

The chase started at 0:14 in "Attack of the Clones".
5. Obi-wan Kenobi discovered a new clone army for the Republic.

The clone army was commissioned for the Republic, but the Republic didn't even know. Obi-wan found it when he was trying to figure out who was trying to kill Padmé. This was another part of the Sith plan to manufacture a crisis in order to seize power. By creating two armies and starting a war, Palpatine was able to get emergency powers, and lay the groundwork for the Empire. Obi-wan landed on Kamino (the planet of cloners) at 0:41 in "Attack of the Clones".
6. The heroes were put in an arena to be executed.

Obi-wan followed bounty hunter Jango Fett to Geonosis, but was captured soon after he landed. Anakin and Padmé went to rescue him, but were also captured. All three were placed in an arena, each with their own vicious creature to eat them. They held out until a team of Jedi showed up to help, but they weren't truly rescued until Yoda arrived with the new clone army. Anakin and Padmé were brought into the arena at 1:44 in "Attack of the Clones" and were lifted out on Republic gunships at 1:57.
7. Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala got married.

Anakin and Padmé had a forbidden love. The Jedi were forbidden personal attachments, and a relationship with a Jedi could be seen as a conflict of interest for a Senator. They finally acknowledged their feelings when they thought they were going to die in the arena. Miraculously, they survived.

Their secret wedding ceremony was the final scene in "Attack of the Clones". Apart from the officiant, only the droids C-3PO and R2-D2 observed the ceremony.
8. Chancellor Palpatine was rescued from General Grievous.

The 2003 television show "Star Wars: the Clone Wars" (not to be confused with the 2008 show, "Star Wars: Clone Wars") was released between "Attack of the Clones" and "Revenge of the Sith." The second season depicted the events immediately preceding "Episode III". General Grievous launched an audacious attack on Coruscant and abducted Chancellor Palpatine. "Revenge of the Sith" opened with Anakin and Obi-wan on a mission to rescue the Chancellor from Grievous' ship over Coruscant.
9. Chancellor Palpatine issued Order 66.

Order 66 was the infamous order for the clone army to kill their Jedi generals. Chancellor Palpatine was also the Sith Lord Sidious, enemy of the Jedi. It was time for him to wipe out the Separatists and the Jedi, and become the sole, uncontested ruler of the galaxy. Commander Cody, Obi-wan's clone commander, was the first to receive the order at 1:21 in "Revenge of the Sith", a little past the half-way point.

In the final seasons of the "Star Wars: the Clone Wars" television show (2014 and 2020), it was revealed that the clones had organic chips that compelled them to follow the order, regardless of their personal feelings about the Jedi.
10. Anakin Skywalker and Obi-wan Kenobi fought on Mustafar.

Even in the earliest scripts for "Star Wars", Darth Vader had to wear a suit because he had been burned and disfigured in a fight with Obi-wan Kenobi on a lava world. Twenty-five years later, George Lucas followed through on his original vision. Obi-wan went to Mustafar to stop his former apprentice who had fallen to the dark side, but he could not bring himself to kill his old friend. After disarming Anakin (literally), Obi-wan left him to die instead of dealing a killing blow. Unbeknownst to Obi-wan, Anakin would survive, thanks to Palpatine. Anakin and Obi-wan ended their fight around the 2-hour mark of "Revenge of the Sith", near the end of the movie.

Obi-wan would meet his apprentice again in the 2022 television series "Star Wars: Obi-wan", set ten years after "Revenge of the Sith", and filmed 17 years later. It was only then that Obi-wan learned that Anakin had survived and become Darth Vader.
