3. Ralph Fiennes played the avenging Hades, threatening mortals such as Perseus and his heroic guard Draco, played by Mads Mikkelsen. In which mythological fantasy adventure was this?

Answer: Clash of the Titans

There have been several films made about Greek mythology, and none better than this tale of Perseus that starred Sam Worthington in the lead role. "Clash of the Titans" (2010) featured all the nasty surprises that its predecessor did in the 1981 version. These included the sea monster Kraken, the three blind witches who shared one eye, and the slitheringly sinister Medusa. Ralph Fiennes played the evil Hades superbly, along with Mads Mikkelsen, the Danish actor who took sword wielding to another level.

4. Financier terrorist Mads Mikkelsen sent his henchmen after Daniel Craig in which cat and mouse spy film?

Answer: Casino Royale

Mads Mikkelsen played the slightly mad Le Chiffre with great gusto in the James Bond 2006 remake, "Casino Royale". His attempt to gain money by nefarious means led him to Casino Royal in Montenegro where he pit his wits against James Bond (Daniel Craig) in a high-stakes game of poker. "You changed your shirt, Mr Bond. I hope our little game isn't causing you to perspire" said Le Chiffre after his failed attempt to kill the infamous British Secret Service agent. No chance!

6. At one time, Stellan Skarsgard was the boyfriend of dancing queen Meryl Streep in which cheesy romantic musical?

Answer: Mamma Mia!

Feel good disco songs written by ABBA featured abundantly in the bubbly 2008 film musical "Mamma Mia!" These included "Dancing Queen", "Souper Trouper" and the rousing "The Winner Takes It All". Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) wanted to invite her father to her wedding, but she did not know who it was out of a choice of three.

It was either Harry (Colin Firth), Sam (Pierce Brosnan) or Bill (Stellan Skarsgard). All three turned up on the island where she lived with her single mother Donna, played by Meryl Streep (as if the part was written for her!).

Help was given by a brilliant supporting cast which included dashing Dominic Cooper, middle-aged sexpot Christine Baranski, and with a dash of comedy from the lovable Julie Walters.
7. Meryl Steep and Nicole Kidman played women from different time periods, but linked by one common factor... suicide. Which drama was this?

Answer: The Hours

"The Hours" was a 2002 Academy Award winning film which earned Nicole Kidman the Best Actress award for her portrayal of Virginia Woolf. Woolf was a depressive author who committed suicide in 1941. During the 1950s, an unhappy housewife (Julianne Moore) settled down to read "Mrs Dalloway", a book written by Virginia Woolf. In the early 2000s, Meryl Streep watched as her very good friend, who was an AIDS sufferer, committed suicide before her eyes. The name of the film was taken from a line in the suicide note left by Virginia Woolf, "Always the years between us. Always the years. Always the love. Always the hours."

10. Tom Hanks and Stanley Tucci both played powerful roles in this sweet gem of a film about one man trapped in an environment through no fault of his own. Which feel-good film was this?

Answer: The Terminal

"The Terminal" was a 2004 film directed by Steven Spielberg. Viktor Navorski was following a dream of his late father to collect signatures of 57 jazz musicians which featured on a black and white photograph called "A Great Day in Harlem". Viktor only had one more signature to collect from a musician in New York. It was when he landed at JFK airport that his troubles started, for his home country Krakozhia had just declared a civil war. This meant that poor Viktor was stranded in the airport as he has become stateless. Stanley Tucci played the senior US Customs official at the airport, who fixated on Viktor and made sure he adhered to rules inside the building, but in the end turned a blind eye.
