Daphne is the main character in the movie. She is trying to get into college, so she's waitressing at weddings and writing her college applications while her Mom plays the music. Since she's fatherless, she always feels sad when she sees the father-daughter dances her mom plays the music for. Afterward, she give her Mom a hard time because she won't let Daphne meet her father.

Daphne rides the bus because it starts raining, and is at the youth hostel when she sees her Dad on TV. She learns that he is going to run for Prime Minister as a commoner. At first she smiles because it's the first time she sees him talking and moving, since she's only seen him in a picture.

Then they mention that Clarissa will be his step-daughter, and I guess Daphne isn't happy about having a step-sister.

We don't know when or where or how Lord Dashwood met Glynnis, but we do know that he's going to marry her in five weeks and she will be Daphne's step-mother. Also, she's just in it so that she can be the "wife of the prime minister".

Answer: Have I Told You Lately

While Daphne's enjoying her first father-daughter dance, they sing the song "Have I Told You Lately" by Rod Stewart. Daphne's mother is supposed to sing it, but once the music starts playing she can't sing because she's so surprised that Henry has come back. I think it's a beautiful song!:)

When Glynnis says, "It's all a mistake", Henry replies, "She has a picture, she has a birth certificate, she has my eyes!".

When Daphne is up because of jet lag, she's in the kitchen eating. Henry comes in because he can't sleep, and starts eating Cocoa Pops. Daphne says, "Cocoa Pops, interesting choice. I had you down as an All Bran man". Henry replies, "Glynnis makes me eat the gravel (meaning All Bran) for breakfast every morning".

Henry's mom's name is Lady Jocelyn. She is nice to Daphne and says that she "must stay with us!". She also tells Daphne "don't listen to that silly little twit Clarissa". Lady Jocelyn likes to try to shoot birds, but she shoots everything else instead.

Henry is worried about Daphne because she rode off on the back of Ian's motorcycle, and she hasn't returned. When he calls, Libby is drinking orange juice from the carton. She says, "Strange, how easy it comes". He asks, "What?", and she replies "Worrying". Henry then asks,"Does it ever go away?", and Libby replies, "No Henry, it doesn't".

Daphne wants Henry to get something wild while they're shopping, either a tattoo or a piercing. Piercing looks too painful for him so he says, "Uh, I think this will do!", and goes behind the curtains. When he comes out and shows Daphne his tattoo, she rolls her eyes because it's only a henna tattoo, but she smiles.
