Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. I prescribed my patients Hypnocil. Who am I?

Answer: Craig Wasson

Wasson, born on March 15th, 1954 in Eugene, Oregon was cast as Dr. Neil Gordon. Dr. Gordon was the psychiatrist of many patients at Westin Hills, and tried to convince them that their problems were not due to some boogeyman they dreamed about but to other issues. Eventually, Dr. Gordon realized that Freddy Kruger stalked the teens in their dreams, and killed them there.

He decided to prescribe Hypnocil, a drug that suppressed dreams. He was relieved of duty when two patients committed suicide (it looked like suicide but Freddy killed them) and another one was in a coma.

At the end of the movie, Dr. Gordon used holy water and a crucifix to kill Freddy. Wasson starred in the movies "The Storytellers", "Akeelah and the Bee", and "Malcolm X."
2. I decided to lock the teens' doors during sleeping hours. Who am I?

Answer: Priscilla Pointer

Pointer, a native of New York City, landed the role of Dr. Elizabeth Simms. Dr. Simms had a habit of placing Kincaid in the quiet room, and she told Dr. Gordon she might have to make it permanent. In her first scene, she and Dr. Gordon were paged to a room to help a new patient named Kristen Parker.

After one of the patients was killed by Freddy, Dr. Simms ordered that the teen patients' doors were to be locked during sleeping hours. Kincaid objected to this, and Dr. Simms put him in the quiet room.

When Dr. Simms heard that Dr. Gordon would prescribe the patients Hypnocil, she told Dr. Gordon he would be responsible if anything bad happened. Near the end of the movie, Kristen found out that Dr. Simms had Nancy Thompson, a staff member, relieved of duty and she threw a fit, which prompted Dr. Simms to lock Kristen in the quiet room. Pointer guest starred on the TV series "Cold Case", "Judging Amy", and "ER."
3. As an orderly, I took a liking to the teen patients, even Kristen, despite the fact that Kristen cut my arm with a scalpel. Who am I?

Answer: Laurence Fishburne

Fishburne, born in 1961 in Augusta, Georgia, played the role of the orderly Max. Max was first seen when he spoke to Dr. Gordon in the hallway at Westin Hills about how he heard Dr. Simms say it was sex, drugs, and rock and roll that caused people to commit suicide.

However, Max commented that he felt those three things kept people alive. When Max first dealt with Kristen, she used a scalpel and cut his arm he got near her, but it was not a big cut and he had no serious injuries. In one scene, he came into Will and Joey's room and told them it was time to go to bed, and he lifted a wheelchair-ridden Will into bed. Near the end of the movie, Nancy went to Westin Hills and asked Max if she could speak to the teens and he told her no, at first, but gave her five minutes with them. Fishburne was seen in the movies "What's Love Got to Do with It", "The Matrix", and "Osmosis Jones."
4. I had a dream of becoming an actress. However, Freddy made sure this did not happen. Who am I?

Answer: Penelope Sudrow

Sudrow had the minor role of Jennifer Caulfield. Jennifer was a patient at Westin Hills, and had a habit of keeping herself awake by burning her hands with a cigarette. In her first session, which Nancy Thompson attended, she introduced herself and said that she wanted to become an actress.

In her final scene, she was watching television in the break room, and Max went to see her. He suggested she read a book since she watched too much television, but she told him she watched a lot to research on how to be an actress. Jennifer went to sleep and, in her dream, the television set had static and Jennifer went up to it to try and get a clearer picture.

When she banged on the TV set, Freddy popped out and took Jennifer in his arms and crashed her into the TV.

She was pronounced dead and the cause of death was ruled a suicide. Sudrow had guest starring stints on the TV shows "The Marshall Chronicles", "Mama's Family", and "One Day at a Time."
5. I was the first teen patient at Westin Hills to become a victim of Freddy's. Who am I?

Answer: Bradley Gregg

Gregg, born on November 8th, 1966 in Hollywood, California, was cast as Philip Anderson. Philip introduced himself to the new Westin Hills staffer, Nancy Thompson, and told her she was at the "snake pit." Philip remarked to Nancy that he sleepwalked and that this was a cause of concern for the staff.

In Philip's final scene, he dreamed of how Freddy Kruger's puppet came alive and ripped out his veins and used them to direct him as a puppet. Joey saw Philip on the edge of the rooftop, and woke up his roommate, Will, who screamed at Philip to not jump off the building. Philip woke up everyone else on the ward, and they all went to his room and screamed at Philip to not commit suicide.

However, Philip flung himself off the building, courtesy of Freddy, and died. Gregg portrayed characters in the films "Whiplash", "Class of 1999", and "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade."
6. I told Nancy that I was at Westin Hills since it was better than being in juvenile detention. Who am I?

Answer: Jennifer Rubin

Rubin, a native of Phoenix, Arizona, got the role of Taryn White. Taryn had a drug habit and she was deemed a danger to herself and others so she was committed to Westin Hills. She told Nancy at the first group session that she was there since it was better than juvenile detention. Throughout the movie, one of the orderlies harassed Taryn and told her he could score some drugs for her, but she told him she did not want any and to leave her alone.

In Taryn's final dream, she had a mohawk hair cut and did battle with Freddy.

However, Freddy got the best of her and pushed many drug needles, into Taryn's arms, so she would overdose and die. As Taryn died, Freddy told her, "Oh, what a rush!" Rubin had guest starring roles on the TV series "Tales from the Crypt", "The Twilight Zone", and "Miami Vice."
7. I had a penchant for acting up and getting locked in the quiet room quite often. Who am I?

Answer: Ken Sagoes

Sagoes, born in 1967 in Atlanta, Georgia, portrayed Roland Kincaid. In the movie, Kincaid only used his last name and was never referred to by his first name. In Kincaid's first scene, he was seen with his head down, in the quiet room, and went there again when Dr. Simms upset him and he reacted badly. Near the end of the movie, he made a pact with both Nancy and Kristen to kick Freddy's butt in dream world.

In the final showdown with Freddy, Kruger pulled Kincaid into a mirror, and was about to kill him, but Joey screamed so loudly that it shattered the mirrors, and Kincaid (along with Kristen and Nancy) survived. Kincaid thanked Joey profusely for saving his life. Sagoes reprised his role of Roland Kincaid in "A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master." He was also in the films, "Say Yes" and "Rosewood."
8. I got the ability, in this movie, to pull people into my dreams. Who am I?

Answer: Patricia Arquette

Arquette got the major role of Kristen Parker. Kristen was in the opening scene and it appeared as if she had slashed her wrists in the bathroom, so her mother committed her to Westin Hills. In the middle of the movie, Nancy Thompson realized that Kristen had the ability to pull people into her dreams - a power that Nancy got in the first film in the "A Nightmare on Elm Street" series.

However, Nancy lost this power a while back. While Kristen was in the quiet room, she dreamed and, in the dream, she pulled in Will, Taryn, Nancy, and Kincaid.

When Kristen had a separate dream, she saw Freddy sever her mother's head and then Freddy tried to attack Kristen but he was unsuccessful. In the final scene, Kristen hugged Nancy's dead body and cried over the loss of her friend and promised she would dream good dreams, from here on out, for Nancy. Arquette guest starred on the TV shows "thirtysomething" and "Tales from the Crypt." In 2005, she originated the role of Allison DuBois on the TV show, "Medium."
9. I liked to read comic books and tried to use superhuman powers, in a dream of mine, to defeat Freddy. Unfortunately, I was not successful. Who am I?

Answer: Ira Heiden

Heiden, born on September 22nd, 1966 in New York City, was cast as Will Stanton. Will was wheelchair-ridden since he had a major accident and lost feeling in his legs. He told Nancy that, in his dreams, he could walk and also morph into a superhero from the comic books he read.

In Will's final dream, he had the ability to walk and was a superhero that battled Freddy. At one point, Will appeared to have the upper hand but Freddy used his powers to get to Will and stabbed him. As Freddy stabbed Will, he told him he did not believe in fairy tales and Will died soon after this. Will was the last teen patient at Westin Hills to die in "A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors." Heiden starred in the movies "Timelock", "Dangerous Touch", and "Father of the Bride."
10. I told Nancy that I had spent thousands of dollars on psychiatrists for my daughter. Who am I?

Answer: Brooke Bundy

Bundy, a native of New York City, had the small role of Elaine Parker. Elaine was Kristen's mom, and did not pay as much attention to Kristen as she should have, as evidenced by her many dates with different men. When she noticed that Kristen appeared to have cut her wrists, she committed her to Westin Hills, and claimed that Kristen just looked for attention.

In her conversation with Nancy Thompson, she told Nancy she spent a lot of money on psychiatrists, and Nancy asked her questions, such as when Kristen started to act up. Elaine joked that it was when she took away Kristen's credit cards, but Nancy reminded her that this was serious. Elaine remarked that she could not tell her any more about Kristen, and that they would have to use their expertise to figure her out. Bundy reprised her role of Elaine Parker in "A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master." She also guest starred on the TV shows "Sons and Daughters" and "Matlock."
