1. One of my favorite songs from the year 2000 had a title that paid homage to Superman. What band released the song "Kryptonite" off of their "The Better Life" album?

Answer: 3 Doors Down

3 Doors Down was formed in Escatawpa, Mississippi in 1996 and the band's name was derived from the number of original members of the group and a "Doors Down" sign that they saw on a building. "Kryptonite" was the first single released by 3 Doors Down and it catapulted them to stardom.

The song reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and incredibly it was written by the band's drummer/vocalist Brad Arnold when he was just 15 years old.
2. In 2001 the band Alien Ant Farm released their own version of a popular Michael Jackson song. Featuring the line "Annie are you ok, would you tell us that you're ok", what was this cover released from their "Anthology" album?

Answer: Smooth Criminal

Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal" first appeared in 1987 on his "Bad" album and it also featured in a film called "Moonwalker" that starred Jackson and Joe Pesci. The Alien Ant Farm cover version reached number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 and it featured in the film "American Pie 2".

Answer: The Middle

"The Middle" reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2002. In 1999 Jimmy Eat World was dropped by Capitol Records after some of their albums had lackluster sales volumes. This prompted the band to self-finance their "Bleed American" album from which "The Middle" was their hit song.
4. With Amy Lee on lead vocals the song "Bring Me to Life" in 2003 was the first Billboard Hot 100 top five hit for this band.

In addition to its frequent airplay in 2003 the song "Bring Me to Life" also featured on the "Daredevil" movie soundtrack as did the band's song "My Immortal". Evanescence was formed in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1996 but it wasn't until 2003 that they released a full studio album.

Formed in Los Angeles in 1992, Weezer's first album was released in 1994 and it was a commercial success reaching triple-platinum status.
