Dizzy was a pioneer in bebop jazz; Miller was a big band trombonist!

Answer: Red Nichols

Miller,Goodman and Krupa were played by (in order) James Stewart, Steve Allen and Sal Mineo. Kaye played Eugene "Red" Nichols, whose band supplied the fim's title: "The Five Pennies".
3. What hit Swing song did Ziggy Elman adapt from an old Jewish folk tune?

Answer: And The Angels Sing

Elman, a trumpeter for Benny Goodman, adapted an old fralich(Jewish dance) for his composition, which later became the title of a 40's Paramount musical starring Betty Hutton.
