Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. From which song does the line "We both lie silently still in the dead of the night..." appear?

Answer: Every Rose Has Its Thorn

Posion's only number one song, this power ballad became a staple at all concerts.
2. Which song, from the "Greatest Hits" album or "Crack a Smile" does the line "Don't put up no fight, you just turn on the lights, walk over here to me...." appear?

Answer: Lay Your Body Down

I think the record company did a disservice to Poison fans by not releasing "Crack A Smile" until the band regained popularity after "Power to the People". This was a great album, and deserved to be released.
3. From either "Greatest Hits" or "Crack A Smile", which song contained the following lyric: "All my work here is done. You best believe me, child, the pleasure's been all mine..."?

Answer: Sexual Thing

This song begins and ends with Bret laughing a throaty laugh. It's a song about seduction, one of the most explicit songs Poison has recorded since "Good Love".
4. Let's try another favourite of mine. Which song contained the lyric: "Hoppin' and boppin' in the old moonlight, rockin' and rollin' til the mornin' light..."?

Answer: Good Love

I love any song that Bret uses the harmonica on, don't know why, but that always puts me to dancing.
5. Do the words "suffer some" ever appear in the song "Suffer Some (Fire and Ice)"?

Answer: yes

Only once and at the very end of the song. "I can't stand to see no more damage done, but you'll never understand until you suffer some." A song about being done wrong by the one you love from the album "Native Tongue".
6. Whose version of "Home" does the line "I never ever thought I'd say just how much I miss LA" appear?

Answer: CC's

There were two versions of the song "Home" on "Hollywierd". The rest of this line is "Til we got aboard a plane and flew around the world". Guess you don't love home until you see what it's like in the world.
7. In which Poison song can we hear the lyric "Now you need me to shine your shoes, walk on water, be in the mood"?

Answer: The Emperor's New Clothes

CC sings this song appearing on "Hollyweird". If you really listen to the lyrics, it seems the song is about being deceived but it is actually about waking up to the deception.
8. Which song, from their debut album, does this line appear: "I ain't seen home in the last three days..."?

Answer: Look What the Cat Dragged In

First release for the band and always the opener to their shows, "Look What the Cat Dragged In" is one of my favourite party songs.
9. This song starts, "Well, I see him on the TV...". Can you name the song?

Answer: Something To Believe In

Inspired to write this song after bodyguard Kimo's passing, Bret penned this ballad during a Christmas break from touring. Mentioning the homeless and Vietnam veterans, "Something to Believe In", touches home on many levels for me.
10. Which song contains the line: "Win big, Mamma's..."?

Answer: Fallen Angel

From the album "Open Up and Say...Ahh!". Hope you enjoyed the quiz.
