Answer: The Police

Gordon Sumner (aka Sting), Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland took "Message in a Bottle" to number one in the UK and had huge success with hits such as "Roxanne", "Every Breath You Take" and "Spirits in the Material World" before their breakup in 1986.

The band formed in 1977 and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.
2. ALV CLUULATI

Answer: Led Zeppelin

Widely credited with being the forerunner to heavy metal, Led Zeppelin formed as the New Yardbirds in 1968 and quickly became one of the world's biggest musical successes. The untimely death of John Bonham in 1980 led to the demise of the band Rolling Stone called "the heaviest band of all time".

Mark Farner left the band in 1998 in favor of a solo career. Remaining band members have continued live performances, including a highly successful year long tour in 2013.
