Answer: Deadpool

All the options listed are characters from Marvel Comics, but the one played by Ryan was called Deadpool. It is one of the films from the 'X-Men' series. Ryan Reynolds was born in Vancouver in 1976 and went to school and university there, although he dropped out of his university course.

He began his film career in 1993, in 'Ordinary Magic', and has worked consistently ever since, reprising the role of Deadpool in 2018 in (what else could it be?) 'Deadpool 2'.

Born in 1922 as Margaret Middleton, de Carlo had a tough start in life. Her father abandoned his family when she was only three and was never heard of again. By the mid 1940s, de Carlo had appeared in several films, in mostly uncredited roles, before she made a breakthrough after starring in 'Salome, Where She Danced' in 1945.

Despite its name, the film has nothing to do with the Biblical Salome. Her greatest successes came in the late 1940s and 1950s, but her portrayal of Lily Munster brought her to the attention of a younger audience and revived her fortunes to a certain extent.

Margaret Sinclair was only eighteen when she met Pierre Trudeau, who was already a politician and nearly twenty years older than her. Despite age and temperamental differences, the pair married and had three sons together. Trudeau became Canada's Prime Minister in 1980 - his second time in the position - but the free spirited Margaret struggled to adapt to the restrictions now placed on her. The couple separated in 1977 and divorced in 1984. The oldest son of the marriage, Justin Trudeau, followed his father's footsteps into politics and became Prime Minister of Canada in 2015.

Margarets Atwood and Laurence made their names in literature, while Margaret Frame was a painter.

Jepsen did not originate from Vancouver. She was born and raised in Mission, British Columbia, where she took part in many school musical productions, such as 'Annie' and 'The Wiz'. She moved to Vancouver, hoping to make a career in music, with music being her preferred career, rather than the musical theatre she had previously been involved in. Carly was persuaded to take part in 'Canadian Idol' in 2007 and finished third - a situation which she has said to be ideal, giving her a platform without being tied to a contract as she would have been as a winner. Carly released her first album, 'Tug of War', in 2008.

Although he was born in Seattle, Ryan and his family moved to Vancouver when he was aged ten. Starting his career as a stand-up comedian, Stiles began appearing regularly on the UK show 'Whose Line is it Anyway', an improvised sketch show. Stiles was also a stalwart of the American version, along with Colin Mochrie, another UK regular. Mochrie would also qualify for inclusion in the quiz.

Although born in Scotland, he grew up near Montreal before his family moved to Vancouver.

Their show has proved popular both in Canada and the USA, enabling the brothers to branch out into other property related areas.

Hayden was born in 1981, and began his acting career in 1993 at the age of twelve, appearing on television. He went on to appear in various television series, but his big chance came when he was cast as Anakin Skywalker in 'Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones' (2002).

He played the same role in the next film of the series, 'Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith' in 2005. Hayden also made an appearance in the 2005 DVD version of 'Return of the Jedi', released in the cinema in 1983, when he was edited in as the ghost of Anakin.

Born in Burnaby, British Columbia, Bublé's name has its roots in Croatia, rather than the French language, which would seem an obvious assumption. Growing up, Michael developed a passion for the Vancouver Canucks, although he realized his dreams of playing ice hockey professionally were unrealistic.

His other interest, in singing, was to more profitable, though. Bublé began by singing in Vancouver nightclubs, when only sixteen, with a particular love of jazz standards. Since those early days, Bublé has released numerous albums, beginning in 2001.
