Photographer and cousin of Queen Elizabeth II, the late Patrick Lichfield inherited Shugborough Hall in 1958. The estate was originally acquired by William Anson in 1624.

Answer: Alton Towers

Alton Towers is one of the county's leading attractions, home to rides such as Nemesis and Oblivion. Mercian King Ceolred had a fortress on the site in the 8th century. The Earls of Shrewsbury lived in the castle from the 15th century.
