Answer: Valley

In Joshua 10, when the Israelites were chasing the five Amorite Kings, Joshua was basically asking for more time to complete their mission.
Joshua 10:12-13 says, "Then Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel: 'Sun, stand still over Gibeon; And Moon, in the Valley of Aijalon.' So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the people had revenge upon their enemies."

Cana was a town in Galilee, where Jesus attended the "water to wine" wedding described in the Gospel of John.
3. In the Book of Acts, Paul was being transferred as a prisoner to Rome, via sailing ship. According to the Biblical text, before being shipwrecked on Malta, this ship was in a storm on what body of water?

Answer: Adriatic Sea

Paul's journey to Rome can be found in Acts 27. Some of the places they stopped prior to the shipwreck were, Sidon, Cyprus, Myra, Cnidus, Salmone, and Fair Havens. The ship was headed to a harbor on Crete, called Phoenix when the storm blew them off course.
Acts 27:27 says, "Now when the fourteenth night had come, as we were driven up and down in the Adriatic Sea, about midnight the sailors sensed that they were drawing near some land."
And so, after the shipwreck Paul spent 3 months on Malta ministering to the people.
4. As what geographic feature would Abanah and Pharpar of Damascus be classified?

Answer: Rivers

The story of Naaman the Syrian and Elisha can be found in 2 Kings 5. Naaman was the commander of the Syrian army, but he was also a leper. His story takes him to Israel and to Elisha. Naaman went to the home of Elisha, in hopes of seeing the prophet. But, the only one to come out was Elisha's servant. He said to Naaman, "Go to the Jordan and dunk yourself seven times and you will be clean." So, Naaman became upset, because he had come all that way to be told to just go into the river.
In 2 Kings 5:12 he said, "'Are not the Abanah and the Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean?' So he turned and went away in a rage."
Naaman's servant finally convinced him to go down to the Jordan and do what Elisha had said. He went and dipped 7 times in the Jordan and was healed.
5. Where did Obadiah hide the 100 prophets that Jezebel wanted to kill?

Answer: Caves

The story of Elijah, Obadiah, Ahab and Jezebel can be found in 1 Kings 18.
1 Kings 18:4 says, "For so it was, while Jezebel massacred the prophets of the Lord, that Obadiah had taken one hundred prophets and hidden them, fifty to a cave, and had fed them with bread and water."
6. Achsah and her husband Othniel had received a portion of land, from her father Caleb. She also asked for an additional blessing, so Caleb gave her the upper and lower of what geographical feature?

Answer: Springs

All farmers would wish for a water supply. Judges 1:15 recounts, "So she said to him, 'Give me a blessing; since you have given me land in the South, give me also springs of water.' And Caleb gave her the upper springs and the lower springs."
7. Gilboa was the location of the death of Saul and his three sons. What geographic grouping would include Gilboa?

Answer: Mount(ain)

Mount Gilboa was the location of Saul's last battle.
1 Samuel 31:1 says, "Now the Philistines fought against Israel; and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell slain on Mount Gilboa."
1 Samuel 31:8 continues, "So it happened the next day, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his three sons fallen on Mount Gilboa."
8. After Elijah prophesied the drought, he temporarily hid at Cherith. What, geographically, was Cherith?

Answer: Brook

Elijah hid at the Brook Cherith, where he found water and was fed by the ravens. Once the brook dried up, he left for Zarephath where he lived with the widow and her son.
1 Kings 5:3 says, "Get away from here and turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan."
The continuing story of Elijah is found in 1 Kings.
9. The Tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh complained to Joshua about the size of their inheritance. What did Joshua tell them to clear, since the mountains were not big enough?

Answer: Forests

After receiving their inheritance, Ephraim and Manasseh showed a little attitude, but Joshua didn't stand for it.
Joshua 17:14-15 says, "Then the children of Joseph spoke to Joshua, saying, 'Why have you given us only one lot and one share to inherit, since we are a great people, inasmuch as the Lord has blessed us until now?' So Joshua answered them, 'If you are a great people, then go up to the forest country and clear a place for yourself there in the land of the Perizzites and the giants, since the mountains of Ephraim are too confined for you.'"
