Answer: Moses

You'll find this story in Exodus 3. Moses had run away from Egypt and was now being told to return to Egypt to lead the children of Israel out of bondage.
2. Immediately prior to the fall of Jericho, this man was instructed to remove his shoes. Who was he?

3. Before the widow Ruth could remarry, someone had to give up his claim on her. That unknown man did so and removed his shoe as a symbol of the transfer of property to whom?

Answer: Boaz

In Ruth 4, Boaz sat at the gate with the elders of the city and offered to redeem the property of Naomi and marry Naomi's widowed daughter-in-law Ruth. The relative of Naomi who would have liked to have the property could not take Ruth in the bargain, so he relinquished his claim to Boaz. Boaz and Ruth became the great-grandparents of King David.
4. Talk about sturdy shoes! Whose shoes lasted forty years?

Deuteronomy 29:5 "And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot."
5. These people fooled Joshua and the Israelites by carrying moldy bread and wearing old clothes and old shoes. Who were they?

Answer: Gibeonites

Joshua had been instructed by God to rid Canaan of all its inhabitants so that the Israelites could live there with no foreigners. Joshua destroyed Jericho and Ai and was on the way to Gibeon. The Gibeonites dressed in old clothes and convinced Joshua that they were travelers from a far land rather than citizens of the next city. Joshua foolishly agreed not to harm them. Joshua 9:14 says "...and asked not counsel at the mouth of the LORD."
6. Shoes made these feet look beautiful. Whose feet were they?

Song of Solomon 7:1. "How beautiful are thy feet with shoes, O prince's daughter! The joints of thy thighs are like jewels, the work of the hands of a cunning workman."
7. This man said that he was not even worthy to untie the shoes of Jesus. Who was he?

8. What was the significance of shoes and the first Passover feast?

Answer: The Israelites had to wear shoes to be ready to leave in haste.

Exodus 12:11. "And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the Lord's passover." The children of Israel had to be ready to escape from Egypt when the Lord passed through the land that night, smiting the first-born.
9. As part of the whole Armour of God, what are a Christian's shoes to be made of?

Answer: Preparation of the gospel of peace

You'll find a description of the "whole armour of God" in Ephesians 6:11-15. Your loins are girt about with Truth, you have the breastplate of Righteousness, your feet are shod with the Preparation of the gospel of peace and your shield is Faith. Additionally, your helmet is Salvation.
10. This person received shoes after a long journey. Who was he?

Answer: Prodigal son

Luke 15:22 "But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet..."
