1. Which of these teams won the Super Bowl, came back the following season and didn't even make the playoffs, and did this twice?

Answer: New York Giants

The Giants won Super Bowl XXI against the Broncos in 1987, then played to a 6-9 record in 1987. They did it again, winning Super Bowl XXV in 1991 against the Bills, then finished 8-8 in the 1991 season. The Steelers also did this twice after winning Super Bowls XIV and XL.
2. Running back Eric Dickerson played in four full seasons with the Rams, then was traded midseason 1987 to which team?

Answer: Indianapolis Colts

Dickerson played in only nine games for the Colts in 1987, yet still rushed for over 1000 yards. Eric helped push the Colts into the playoffs, but lost to the Browns in the division playoffs. He went on to play in four more seasons at Indianapolis, after his career high for rushing was 2105 yards in 1984 with the Rams.
3. Which of these teams never existed in the NFL?

Answer: Detroit Dodgers

The Reds were in the NFL for two seasons in 1933 and 1934. In both seasons combined, they went 3-14-1. The Boston Bulldogs were originally the Pottsville Maroons. The franchise existed from 1925-1929, with the final season being named the Bulldogs. The Canton Bulldogs won the very first NFL Championship in 1922, then closed its doors after the 1926 season.
4. Which NFL team was the first to win 700 games in their franchise history?

Answer: Chicago Bears

The Bears surpassed the 600-win mark in 1997, strangely enough going only 4-12 in the season. The hit the magic number 700 in the 2010 season, going 11-5.
5. Throughout the entire 20th century, there was only one NFL player who played in 20 seasons for the same team. Who was this loyal player?

Answer: Jackie Slater

Slater was a Ram from 1976-1995. He made the move from Los Angeles with the team to St. Louis in 1995, then retired. Slater was an offensive tackle and guard, and was selected to seven Pro Bowls. He was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2001.
6. In a 13-game season, which team shutout 10 of their opponents, and went on to win the NFL Championship in that season?

Answer: New York Giants

New York fans were having the year of a lifetime in 1927. They watched Murderers Row with Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig defeat the Pittsburgh Pirates in the World Series, then the Giants have a tremendous NFL season also. The Giants went 11-1-1 in the season and won the NFL Championship. Of their 13 games, they allowed only 20 points in the entire season.

They allowed the Cardinals and Bears to score seven. They also allowed the Cleveland Bulldogs scored six, and those six would result in the Giants' only loss in the season.
7. Which running back set a NFL record for scoring 40 points in one game?

Answer: Ernie Nevers

Nevers was in his third season of football with the Chicago Cardinals in 1926. On November 28, 1929, against the Chicago Bears, Nevers scored six touchdowns and four PATs in the game that the Cardinals won, 40-6. The Cardinals would still finish in fourth place with a 6-6-1 record. Nevers' 40 points was almost half of the Cardinals scoring for the entire season with 83. Ernie retired after five seasons in 1931.
8. Which team in the 1990s set a NFL record for being behind by 32 points in a game, then coming back and winning that game?

Answer: Buffalo Bills

The Bills hosted the Houston Oilers in the AFC playoffs on January 3, 1992. The Oilers were up 35-3 in the third quarter, then the Bills finally went to work. Buffalo scored 28 unanswered points in the third quarter, then tied the game at 38 at the end of regulation time. Steve Christie kicked a 32-yard field goal 3:06 in overtime for the Buffalo win.
9. Which of these NFL players did not wear the number 12 during their NFL career?

Answer: Sonny Jurgensen

Kenny "The Snake" Stabler wore the number 12 with the Raiders. Griese donned the 12 with the Dolphins, and Kelly wore it with the Buffalo Bills. Jurgensen wore the number 9 with the Eagles and Redskins.
10. Which quarterback set a NFL record by being the first to have 10 300-yard passing games in one season?

Answer: Rich Gannon

Gannon was an Oakland Raider in 2002. He led the league in pass attempts with 618, completions with 418, passing yards with 4689. Rich threw 26 touchdowns against 10 interceptions. His season high was against the Titans in Week 4, when he threw for 374 yards.

It would seem that Gannon had a tremendous season, but it would come crashing down in Super Bowl XXXVII against the Buccaneers. Rich threw five interceptions in the big game, another record, and the Bucs won 48-21.
