Answer: The Tour Down Under

The Tour Down Under was started in 1999, and attracted mainly Australian cycling teams. In 2008 it joined the UCI World Tour and became an international event, with the world's leading teams all taking part. It is a week-long tour held in Adelaide and the surrounding countryside.

The Australian Open is the first Grand Slam of the year and is played in Melbourne. It was the first Grand Slam to have stadiums with retractable roofs to enable play in wet conditions. The roof is also closed in times of extreme heat.

The urn was originally empty. When England came to Australia to try to win back the urn, the bails used in the game were burned and the ashes placed in the urn. The tradition started when "The Sporting Times" published an obituary which read "In affectionate remembrance of English Cricket, which died at The Oval on 29th August 1882, deeply lamented by a large circle of sorrowing friends and aquaintances."

Answer: Australia II

Australia was the first country to win the America's Cup from the Americans in its 132 year history. Four years later, at Fremantle in Western Australia, the American yacht Stars and Stripes won it back.
