Answer: Don Shula

Shula became the second coach to win two Super Bowls when his Miami Dolphins defeated the Minnesota Vikings 24-7 in Super Bowl VIII. Vince Lombardi's Green Bay Packers won Super Bowls I and II.
2. Who was the first head coach to lose more than one Super Bowl?

Answer: Don Shula

Shula was also the first coach to lose two Super Bowls. His Baltimore Colts lost Super Bowl III to the New York Jets and his Miami Dolphins lost Super Bowl VI to the Dallas Cowboys.

Answer: Los Angeles Rams

Allen won an impressive 70.5 percent of his regular season games. He coached the Rams from 1966-1970, and finished with a regular season record of 49 wins, 17 losses, and 4 ties. With the Redskins from 1971-1977, he won 67, lost 30, and tied 1.

Vermeil coached the Philadelphia Eagles from 1976-1982, making the playoffs from 1978-1981. He lost his only Super Bowl appearance as Eagles head coach after the 1980 season. Vermeil became head coach of the St. Louis Rams in 1997, and won Super Bowl XXXIV following the 1999 season, before moving on to coach the Kansas City Chiefs.

Answer: Forrest Gregg

Starr and Gregg were teammates in the Packers glory days of the 1960s. Both were inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1977. Starr coached the team from 1975-1983, finishing with a regular season record of 52-76-3. Gregg, who had previously coached the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals, took over for Starr in 1984. With the Packers, Gregg had a record of 25-37-1.
11. Who was the head coach of the Houston Oilers in 1986?

Answer: Jerry Glanville

All of these were Oiler head coaches at one time. Glanville took over late in the 1985 season and coached the team through 1989, before moving on to coach the Atlanta Falcons. He led the Oilers to playoff appearances in 1987, 1988, and 1989.

Mora won 93 and lost 74 regular season games as head coach of the Saints from 1986-1996. He was the first Saints' coach to lead them to a winning season and playoff berth. He returned to coach the Colts in 1998, but suffered through a 3-13 season and abruptly quit.

Answer: Lou Holtz

All of these were Jets head coaches at one time. Holtz, later of Notre Dame and the University of South Carolina fame, coached the Jets to a 3-10 record.
