With the wind 1.11 m/sec behind them. Allan well got the fastest time of the games recording 10.11 in the second round.

The first move of the race is by the East German Jurgen Straub at 800m, and makes it hard, Sebastian Coe takes him at 1350m and goes home for Gold. The other Briton Steve Ovett is drained from his 800m ealier in the games.
