Panathinikos played Ajax on June 2nd in the 1971 final, at Wembley in London, England.
2. Who was coaching Panathinaikos in the 1970-71 season?

Answer: Ferenc Puskas

Puskas was born in Budapest in April 1927. He started his career in Kispest Honved and joined Real Madrid in 1958. In the 39 European matches he played with Real, he managed to score 35 goals. He also made 84 international caps for Hungary and amazingly scored 83 goals! Undoubtedly one of the legendary players in football history.

The first leg was played in Leoforos, Athens, (21st October) and the result was 3-0 for Panathinaikos. The second leg was played in Chezoslovakia (4th November) and Slovan won 2-1 but the victory was not enough for them to qualify.
