Answer: He scored 5 goals, 5 different ways

Mario became the first player in NHL history to score 5 goals 5 different ways (against the New Jersy Devils). Mario's first goal did come on his first shift and first shot, but that was in Boston on October 11,1984. Lemiuex returned from his cancer treatments to a surprisingly warm Flyer crowd in 1993. His game winner for Canada happened in the summer of 1987.
2. What year did the Penguins enter the NHL?

Answer: 1967

The Penguins were one of 6 teams to become franchises in 1967 as the NHL expanded from the "Original Six".
3. How did the Penguins get their name?

Answer: An owners wife came up with it

While there was a name contest going on in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the name came from part-owner Jack McGregor's wife Carol. No matter what the results of the contest winners were, the owners were adamant on the Penguins and absolutely opposed the "Hornets".
