Kim, born on March 31st, 1965 in Detroit, Michigan guest starred as Emily Lowenbrau, a police lieutenant, in this episode. She played the part for just this episode of "The West Wing." She has also guest starred on the TV series', "Xena: Warrior Princess", "Courthouse" and "ER."

President Bartlet had a private conversation with Charlie near the conclusion of the episode and spoke about how there was going to be an investigation on if his refusal to disclose his multiple sclerosis was a criminal offense. He mentioned how Charlie would be subpoenaed to testify about what he knew in regards to the multiple sclerosis diagnosis. President Bartlet made it clear that Charlie was not to lie or else he would fire him.
