One reporter asked her what caused the President to change his position on the issue and C.J. responded that he had not changed his views on it. The reporter then said a quote from a White House official stated President Bartlet compromised himself on the issue but C.J. said perhaps it was the official who was compromised.

Josh went to go talk to Donna and she told him that he had a phone message from Frank Kelly. Josh asked her who he was so she told him he was a textiles worker in South Carolina making little money and had no health insurance. Donna spoke about how Frank was frustrated that his children's school suffered from budget cuts, which resulted in the elimination of their art and music programs, but yet Josh pushed for his tax dollars to be spent to bail out Mexico.

He mentioned how Charlie would be subpoenaed to testify about what he knew in regards to the multiple sclerosis diagnosis. President Bartlet made it clear that Charlie was not to lie or else he would fire him.
