Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. At the beginning of the episode, the girls are discussing the details of Shane's wedding. Helena has put a lot of money in her friends wedding celebration. How many rooms does she mention she has booked at hotel in Canada?

Answer: 15

Helena says Shane better go through with the wedding because she's booked fifteen rooms at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler. Located in Whistler, British Columbia, the Fairmont Chateau Whistler is a famous resort hotel in that area. It sits at the base of Blackcomb Mountain.
2. According to Jenny, Shane is going to Oregon City to visit her father. What is his name?

Answer: Gabriel

Gabriel McCutcheon (which is nothing less than Shane's heterosexual male version) is portrayed by Eric Roberts.
3. According to Alice, little gay girls don't dream about getting married or wearing bridal gowns. One of these girls however, mentions she actually did dream about something like it. Who was this?

Answer: Carmen

Carmen tells the group that she knew she was gay since she was 12, but it never prevented her from dreaming about getting a wedding dress.
4. Who does Jenny believe that would look beautiful in her wedding dress?

Answer: Bette

Jenny wonders why Bette and Tina never got married; despite the fact they once planned it. Bette reveals it was Tina's decision not to do so because she thought it would be too conventional. "She didn't want to cleave to the heterosexual paradigm," Bette sarcastically claims...
5. What is the name of Shane's younger brother?

Answer: Shay

According to Shay's mother, Carla, it took Gabriel forty five years to finally settle down. "Everywhere we went; women just threw themselves at him." Now we wonder, does it run on the family?
6. What does Jenny define as being sometimes a revelation, sometimes fun, sometimes scary, and sometimes tepid?

Answer: Sex

After meeting Claude and engaging into a conversation, Claude describes sex as the only leisure activity she enjoys without caring about the amount of equipment involved. Jenny however does not believe sex is a leisure act, and proceeds to define to the French writer what she really believes sex is... example included.
7. Because of the lack of legal grounds, Joyce convinces Bette to withdraw her petition for sole-custody of Angelica.

Answer: False

Bette arrives to this decision by herself, after spending some time with Tina. Unfortunately, Bette's message reaches Joyce a little bit too late and the sole custody brief reaches Tina at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler lobby. A furious Tina confronts Bette at Carmen's wedding and informs her she also has proceeded to withdraw the petition of allowing Bette to be Angelica's other parent.

At the end of the episode, Bette loses her senses and desperately runs away with the baby.
8. Alice meets the marrying commissioner in charge of Shane's and Carmen's ceremony. We have already met this woman during the pilot episode for this season. What is her name?

Answer: Marilyn

Marilyn came out in 1973. Despite she is 56; she has only slept with two women during her life. The first was Peggy Peabody, and this is coincidentally Peggy's only lesbian experience, back in 1974.
9. Before the wedding took place, Shane finds her father cheating on his wife at the bar with a blonde. What is the name of this woman?

Answer: Patty

Gabriel was at a bar with a woman whose name he did not know until Shane confronts him. According to Gabriel, he is not proud of his behavior, but this is who he is, and he believes Shane should know what he is talking about. After this 'fatherly' speech, Gabriel runs away with Patty.

The encounter with her father gives Shane second thoughts, and ultimately convinces her marriage is not an option.
10. Who delivers Shane's message to Carmen?

Answer: Alice

Alice was supposed to be Shane's 'best man'. During the marching ceremony, Alice approaches Carmen and gives her Shane's apology for not showing up. Carmen is heartbroken, but decides not to go after Shane.

The morning after, it is discovered that upon the finding of ten thousand dollars (which were provided by Helena), Gabriel ran away and left his wife. This is then concluded to have influenced Shane's decision. After watching the prodigal expenses of her daughter and how she has caused more damage than good with her money, Peggy decides to cut her off financially.

And this is how the third season ends: with a lot of broken hearts, and someone really broke!
