Samantha "Sam" Larusso (played by Mary Mouser) is the daughter of Daniel Larusso and his wife Amanda (played by Courtney Henggeler). Samantha Larusso was trained by both Daniel and Mr. Miyagi before he passed away.

Ralph Macchio reprised his iconic role of Daniel Larusso from the "Karate Kid" saga. Noriyuki "Pat" Morita, who played Mr. Miyagi passed away on November 24, 2005.

More than THIRTY years after the All-Valley Under 18 tournament, where he was defeated by Daniel Larusso, Johnny Lawrence is a down-on-his-luck handyman who restarts Cobra Kai after befriending a bullied teen named Miguel Diaz (played by Xolo Maridueña). He restarts Cobra Kai as a way of helping kids like Miguel boost their self-esteem-without repeating the mistakes of the past. Although, some of his unorthodox training methods (i.e., rabid dogs, a cement mixer, or jumping from one building to another) are a need to be desired!

William Zabka reprised his role of Johnny Lawrence, the original bully from the movie "The Karate Kid".

Answer: John Kreese

Martin Kove reprised his role of John Kreese, Johnny's sensei from the "Karate Kid" saga. Believed to be dead, Kreese reemerged after Miguel defeated Johnny's delinquent son Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan) in the finals of the 50th Anniversary All-Valley Under 18 Karate Tournament.

John Kreese (backhandedly) takes over Cobra Kai at the end of Season 2. While hanging out with his old friends from high school, Tommy (played by Rob Garrison), and Bobby warned Johnny that Kreese was going to stab him in the back, and take back Cobra Kai, creating a whole new generation of karate bullies like Johnny and his friends were during their high school days.

Johnny starts Eagle Fang with Miguel, and a few other students. When Cobra Kai students attacked Miyagi Do students at Daniel Larusso's home, Hawk teamed up with his longtime friend/former enemy Demetri (played by Gianni DeCenzo) who was being double teamed by Cobra Kai. At the end of Season 3, Johnny joins forces with Daniel Larusso in order to put a stop to Kreese and Cobra Kai once and for all.

Rob Garrison, who played Tommy, passed away on September 27, 2019.

Answer: Bobby

Ron Thomas reprised his role from "The Karate Kid" as Bobby Brown. Bobby is the least vicious of Johnny's friends, and also the only member of the original Cobra Kai gang that Daniel didn't defeat in the first tournament (due to Kreese ordering him to land an illegal kick to Daniel's leg, causing him to be disqualified). Bobby has since become a pastor, but he still has skills.

Johnny learned that firsthand when he came to Bobby's church drunk and made a scene. Bobby used a leg sweep on Johnny after praying to God for forgiveness.

Cobra Kai student Tory Nichols (played by Peyton List) started a karate fight between Cobra Kai/Miyagi-Do students, after witnessing a drunk Samantha kissing Miguel at a party. During the fight, Miguel overpowers Robby but decides to show him mercy. Robby kicks Miguel over a balcony and Miguel lands on a railing, causing him to be paralyzed.

Answer: Sid

Sid Weinberg is Johnny's stepfather, a former movie producer who Johnny's mother Laura married after Johnny's father left them. Sid had complete and utter disdain for Johnny (and vice versa), but before Laura passed away, he promised to always help Johnny when he needed it.

The role of Sid was played by Ed Asner, who is known for his role as Lou Grant on the classic TV series "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and its spin-off, "Lou Grant".

Sadly, Ed Asner passed away on August 29, 2021.

Answer: Hawk

Eli "Hawk" Moskowitz (played by Jacob Bertrand) joins Cobra Kai in Season 1. He initially joins because he was constantly bullied over the scar on his lip (which was a result of being born with a cleft lip).

Eli is known for wearing a spiky mohawk, but in the Season 4 episode "Match Point", the Cobra Kai students shave his mohawk off as retaliation for the Miyagi-Do/Eagle Fang students not showing up for a fight at a baseball field and leaving them to get soaked by the sprinklers.

Johnny compared the incident to Daniel dousing him with a water hose.

Answer: Car dealerships

Daniel Larusso and his wife own Larusso Auto Group, a successful auto dealership chain. Mr. Miyagi convinced Daniel to follow his passion, which is selling and fixing automobiles. One of Daniel's employees is his cousin Louie Larusso, Jr. (played by Bret Ernst).

After the fight between Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do students at the high school, Daniel's car dealership started to suffer, because of him teaching karate. Daniel traveled to Tokyo, Japan to make a deal with car company Doyona International but was rebuffed by the heads of the company.

Daniel travels to Tomi Village (Mr.Miyagi's hometown), which is now a mall, due to Sato turning to retail after the villagers' crops died out. Daniel reconnects with Kumiko. Kumiko takes Daniel to her aunt Yukie's house and reads some love letters written by Mr. Miyagi as a way of helping Daniel find guidance. The last letter that Kumiko read was written by Mr. Miyagi the week that he passed away.

Tamlyn Tomita reprised her role as Kumiko, Daniel's love interest from "The Karate Kid Part II".

Before Daniel flew back to the states, Kumiko reintroduced him to a mutual friend named Yuna. Yuna offered to help save Daniel's business, even though Daniel didn't remember her. Yuna explains that they met during a typhoon.

Traci Toguchi reprised her role of Yuna, the young girl that Daniel saved during a typhoon in "The Karate Kid Part II".

At the end of Season 3, Johnny and Daniel decided to join forces in order to stop Cobra Kai for good. Kreese makes a deal with them: if Cobra Kai wins the next All Valley Karate Tournament-Daniel, and Johnny can no longer teach karate. If Cobra Kai loses-Kreese has to shut down Cobra Kai forever. To help him train his students, Kreese turns to someone who is just as (if not more so) viscous than him: his old Vietnam buddy Terry Silver.

Thomas Ian Griffith reprised his role of Terry Silver, Kreese's Vietnam war buddy who terrorized Daniel Larusso in "The Karate Kid Part III".

Kenny Payne (played by Dallas Dupree Young), the new kid at his middle school, is subjected to cyber-bullying and catfishing by Anthony Larusso (played by Griffin Santopietro) and his friends.

Kenny is the younger brother of Shawn Payne (played by Okea Eme-Akwari) who bullied Robby during his stint in juvenile hall. After Robby defends himself in a fight with Shawn, Shawn develops a newfound respect for Robby. Shawn reached out to Robby to help Kenny.

Robby becomes Kenny's mentor and Kenny earns a spot on the Cobra Kai team. Kenny managed to turn the tables on Anthony and his friends when he exposed their constant bullying of him to the principal.

There were several rounds to determine the overall winner of the 51st Annual All-Valley Under 18 Karate Tournament. The boys round came down to Hawk defeating Robby. And in the girls round Tory defeated Samantha, giving the overall victory to Cobra Kai.

Later on, after the match, Tory sees and overhears Terry Silver bribing the referee who presided over her match with Samantha.

Terry Silver takes over Cobra Kai after brutally assaulting Stingray (played by Paul Walter Hauser) and framing Kreese for the crime. Kreese is arrested and taken away by the police.

At the end of Season 4, Daniel is seen at the tombstone of his mentor, Mr. Miyagi. Daniel decides not to "honor an agreement with men who have no honor" (Though technically, Daniel and Johnny's agreement was with Kreese, not Silver)!

Daniel is determined to stop Cobra Kai, even if it means going on offense. This leads to Daniel teaming up with none other than-Chozen Toguchi.

Yuji Okumoto reprised his role of Chozen Toguchi, Daniel's rival in the movie "The Karate Kid Part II". When Daniel visited Okinawa in Season 3, Kumiko revealed that Chozen has reformed. Chozen teaches a more aggressive/offensive style of Miyagi-Do karate.

Chozen taught Daniel secret Miyagi pressure point strikes, stating that "if an enemy insists on war, you take away their ability to wage it". Daniel made good use of it when he fought Kreese at the end of Season 3.
