Daria and Jane get into trouble for not participating in gym class. Their teacher, Ms Morris, is running a cheerleader practise in gym class and calling it 'focus on agility'. They decide to protest by not joining in.

Evan is signing people up to try out to join the school track team. Jane has seen him before and thinks he's cute. He convinces her to sign up by saying that girls can succeed in sports just as well as boys can.
