Answer: Leo Gordon

Leo Gordon appeared in many television episodes of the 1950's and 1960's almost always playing a heavy.
This mountain of a man had an artistic side he wrote over 40 episodes of TV series including "Maverick", "Tombstone Territory", "Bonanza" and "Adam-12". He also wrote or adapted over twenty screenplays for the big screen. Leo also created a series which ran for one season, "The Case of the Dangerous Robin," starring Rick Jason.
2. "Family Matters" - episode, "Home Again"

Answer: Jaleel White

The irritating Steve Urkel on "Family Matters" was played by Jaleel White. Jaleel is an accomplished writer and contributed a number of scripts to the show.
3. "Highway to Heaven" - episode, "Heavy Date"

Answer: Michael Landon

Michael Landon was a very talented individual. He starred in, wrote, produced and directed most of the episodes of "Highway to Heaven". Michael also created the series. He had previously written, produced and directed many episodes of "Little House on the Prairie" as well as starring in all episodes. Michael had come to fame in the series "Bonanza" where he played Little Joe.

In this series he wrote and directed more than a dozen episodes over the series' fourteen year run.
4. "Diagnosis Murder" - episode, "Comedy Is Murder"

Dick Van Dyke is known for his comedic and sometimes dramatic acting, however he has at times contributed to shows he has appeared on as a writer and Director. One such writing example is "Diagnosis Murder" where he wrote the script for the season four episode, "Comedy is Murder", with guest stars Harvey Korman and Tim Conway.
5. "The Odd Couple" - episode, "A Different Drummer"

Garry Marshall was a director, actor, writer, producer and series creator. This multi-talented man created the series "The Odd Couple" based on the Neil Simon play. In the episode "A Different Drummer," he plays the drummer. He wrote this episode in which Felix attempts to get his band on the "Monty Hall Show". Garry Marshall also created "Happy Days", "Joannie Loves Chachi", "Mork and Mindy" and "Laverne and Shirley", the latter starring his sister Penny.

He directed many movies including "The Flamingo Kid" and "Pretty Woman".
6. "Quincy M.E." - episode "Promises to Keep"

Answer: Jack Klugman

Jack Klugman was first noticed as Juror #5 in "12 Angry Men" (1957). He had previously appeared in a daily soap opera "The Greatest Gift" in 1954 where he played in over 200 episodes. After many outstanding guest roles on TV dramas during the nineteen fifties and sixties, Klugman was cast as Oscar Madison in "The Odd Couple". Playing Oscar in the series garnered Klugman two primetime Emmys.

After "The Odd Couple" finished Jack moved on to "Quincy M.E." in which he played the title character. During the run of the show Jack wrote the script for four episodes, including "Promises to Keep".

The episode centers on a flashback to the title characters marriage and the death of his wife, which goes to explain his future interest in forensic pathology.
7. "The Dick Van Dyke Show" - episode "Stacey Petrie: Part II"

Answer: Carl Reiner

Carl Reiner wrote many TV shows including a number of episodes of "The Dick Van Dyke Show". Carl also created the series, occasionally starred as Alan Brady, he also produced the series.
8. "Clarence" - "Episode 3"

Answer: Ronnie Barker

"Clarence" was a short-lived British series which aired in 1988. Ronnie Barker starred as a short sighted delivery man who relocates to a small country town. The series only ran for six episodes but they were hilarious. As well as starring, Ronnie Barker created and wrote the series.
9. "77 Sunset Strip" - episode "The Man in The Crowd"

Answer: Roger Smith

Roger Smith starred as Jeff Spencer on "77 Sunset Strip" for five years. For the series Roger wrote over half a dozen episodes including "The Man in The Crowd". He left "77 Sunset Strip" in 1963 for health reasons. Making a comeback in 1966 with the series "Mr Roberts", when that series ended he retired from acting. Marrying beautiful actress/singer/dancer Ann Margaret in 1967, he remained in the background and acted as her manager.
10. "Hawaiian Eye" - episode "Lament for a Saturday Warrior"

Answer: Robert Conrad

Robert Conrad got his early chance at television fame with "Hawaiian Eye" in mid 1959. Conrad starred with Anthony Eisley and Connie Stevens in this detective series set in Honolulu. Both Anthony Eisley and Robert Conrad wrote episodes for the series. Robert Conrad contributed "Lament for a Saturday Warrior" for the show which gave him a taste for writing as he contributed scripts to many of his later series. Robert is of course best remembered as Jim West in the tongue-in-cheek spy series set in "The Wild Wild West".
