Moordil, the bartender, tells John and the others that the other two stations were destroyed by fire and asteroids, and now this one is being targeted by the storm seemingly. Borlik claims that the station has been cursed, as "Gezma's revenge for buying and selling in his sacred stillness".

The Kampeks, a cult that calls the area the Sacred Stillness, believes it to be "where the great gods were born".

When the storm takes a 90 degree turn toward the station and Moya is trapped, John says, "It's Scooby-Doo time." Later, when One-Eye, the slightly damaged DRD from the first episode, tracks the signal that is directing the storm, John says, "Give him a Scooby-Doo snack, then."

Stark says this to Zhaan who is dying after sharing her life force to help save Aeryn. The gang is trying to find a planet with the right soil and moisture where Zhaan can recuperate.

Borlik turns out to be a Kampek and is the one directing the storm toward the station to "cleanse" it. She magnetizes herself somehow and sticks to the station. John calls her Fridge Magnet for that ability.

Aeryn makes her way through the damaged station to find some trapped children. She shoots open the hatch when Moordil dies before giving her the code. The door opens and she finds children just below the door. Luckily, none of them are hurt, but Aeryn does mutter, "Frell me dead" when she sees them below.

John tells her, "You win, we lose, Borlik. But that door you're attached to? It's detachable." The door pops out from Moya and the storm heads straight for the screaming Borlik, disintegrating her.

During the storm, the cryogenic pod holding one of the Interion's taken from Grunchlik's facility opens. Jothee helps the male Interion out, and he tells Jothee that he and Stanis were on an expedition when they got sick, and that Jool found them. Then the Interion throws up all over Jothee and dies.

The title comes from D.H. Lawrence's famous book "Sons and Lover," published in 1913, and was about Paul Morel, a young man and aspiring artist and his family.
