At the time the series takes place, it is five years since Yomiko has gone missing. She has said that she feels that she cannot go on as a writer until she hears what Yomiko thought of her first book.

Near the ending of the twenty-sixth and final episode Natsume offered Anita a rare autographed copy of her sister's newest book "Tears, Have They Stopped?". To everyone's surprise Anita replied by saying that she had already read the book and politely turned down her offer.
