1. The first episode of the second series introduced a new character - who was this?

Answer: Kryten

The first Kryten was played by David Ross; the character did not become a regular cast member (then played by Robert Llewellyn) until series 3.

2. What was the title of the robotic 'Neighbours'-type soap opera?

Answer: Androids

Avidly watched by Kryten, 'Androids' was the standard soap-story, but based around robots. The theme tune was that of 'Neighbours', the Australian soap opera, with suitable robotic references.

3. What were the names of the female crew who were 'alive but badly injured' on the Nova 5?

Answer: Jane, Tracey and Ann

All three were skeletons who had been dead for hundreds of years. It took some considerable skill to convince Kryten that they were no longer alive, even though he did ask Rimmer if he was a doctor!

4. Lister has trouble deciphering Mrs Rimmer's handwriting when reading her letter to Rimmer; which of the following does he read aloud?

Answer: Your father is dad

'Your father is dad' should have been 'Your father is dead'. Rimmer is upset by this news, even though he knew that everyone was dead (it is three million years on, after all).

5. Rimmer got married in the 'Better than Life' game - but to whom?

Answer: Yvonne McGruder

Yvonne McGruder was the woman with whom he had a very brief fling in reality, but only after she was knocked on the head and got concussion.

Lister had given Rimmer his memories of Lise Yates as a present, but it just caused problems. Rimmer found it confusing to have memories of a time when his lifestyle was so different from the norm. The crew buried the black box and erased their memories at Rimmer's request, but with no memory of what they had done, they were determined to find out what happened and they found the black box again.

7. Which floor did the crew travel to in order to investigate the stasis leak?

Answer: Floor 16

The leak led into the mens' shower in the days before the radiation accident, giving the crew access to Red Dwarf in the past.

These scenes were filmed in the Crown Plaza in Manchester (England) and included a lovely part where Tony Hawks 'appeared' as a suitcase.

Answer: Queeg

Queeg was, in fact, Holly. He was playing a trick on the crew to prove to them that he was the best. The episode was named for him.

This is one of my favourite scenes! Lister sees what Queeg has given him to eat and is severely disappointed. About to eat his pea, it twangs across the room out of sight and he is determined to find it and eat it - 'It's my pea. I've earned it. I'm going to eat it no matter what!' Rimmer then tells him that it flew into his dirty sock basket. 'I'll just eat the toast,' Lister concedes. Classic!

Holly and Queeg play chess, and the Cat tells Holly that he has noticed Queeg's strategy. Every time Holly makes a move, Queeg does as well!

Debs Lister was David Lister's alternative in the parallel universe. As they made love in her world, their physical laws applied and he was the one who got pregnant.

The Dog was played by Matthew Devitt. Cat was not impressed at all - he was untidy, dirty and smelly - and he was scared of taking a bath.
