Fred Sanford was played by Redd Foxx. I heard by a television source, that Redd was one of the few people invited to Elvis and Priscilla wedding.

You didn't hear that it was set in California. However, you did hear the mention of Los Angeles. Los Angeles is in California.

3. What was Fred's nickname for Lamont?

Answer: Dummy

Believe it or not, Fred called Lamont Dummy. When Lamont did anything that Fred didn't like, Fred always said "Lamont, you big dummy."

4. Who played Lamont?

Answer: Demond Wilson

He was another one that was on the cast of this show. He was embarrassed a lot by things Fred said and did on the show. I guess it is a typical parent/child relationship.

5. On one show, Fred got an upset stomach. One of the things he ate was eight day old what?

Yes, once when Lamont pretended to be concerned about Fred, Lamont came home one day and saw an ambulance. As the doctor was coming out, Lamont ask him, "Is there something wrong with my father?" The doctor said,"Apparently, he ate some eight day old collard greens." Lamont went on and said that these eight day old collard greens wouldn't agree with superman. Fred had strange eating habits.

Esther and Elizabeth were sisters. They of course weren't related in real life. Esther seemed to care about her sister because she was always standing up for her if Fred said something that Esther didn't like.

When Lamont would ask Fred to help him left boxes or something heavy, Fred's complaint was that he couldn't do it because of his arthritis.

Grady played in "Full House". He played in the show where D.J. was in an Adopt A Grandparent organization. His name was Eddie on that show. He snuck away with her. When they got home to D.J's house, he helped judged a dog show. He would forget at times, and call D.J. Gloria. That was the name of his daughter that you never saw.

When D.J. would say something, Eddie would say, "I know who you are, D.J.".

9. When Fred spelled his last name, he always put some punctuation mark after the last letter of Sanford. What was the punctuation mark?

When he spelled his last name for anyone, it was Sanford. He acted like that period made his last name mean something to him.

Answer: The Gay Blade

As soon as Bubba saw them, he rushed over and told Fred. He asked Fred if he knew what gay meant. Fred said that yes that he knew. Fred gave the answer of gay being happy. Bubba told him no that wasn't the definition of gay anymore. Later on in the show, Fred asked him why he was friends with Rollo, and Lamont said that Rollo was his man. Since Fred had learned the second meaning of gay, he was slightly taken back by this answer.
