Jerry tells the girls that to help ease stress, he is sending them on vacation to Hawaii. He keeps giving them items to use on the beach, but Sam, Alex, and Clover have been on so many missions that they have a hard time believing Jerry.

To get the girls to Hawaii, Jerry herds them into a tube, and tells them that they are being transported by cruise missile, because traveling by missile takes only a very short time.

As we see at the beginning of the episode, people studying the volcanoes in Hawaii have been vanishing without warning. The girls begin their investigation when a student of a missing scientist requests their help.

In addition to the scientists disappearing, volcanoes have been mysteriously erupting. To look into the matter, the girls hop aboard a WOOHP cruise missile to travel to WOOHP's volcano research lab in Iceland. Even though Iceland does not have much experience with volcanoes, WOOHP's lab is able to monitor all of the world's volcanoes from there.

The girls soon learn that the disappearances and eruptions were not real but simply a test; Jerry was making sure they were still fit to be spies. Unfortunately, Jerry says they failed their test (if the lava had been real, the girls would be toast, literally) and will have to be retrained.

When the level of the "lava" begins rising, Sam becomes suspicious when she does not feel heat and nothing burns, so she scoops some up and tastes it. She then exclaims that the "lava" is in fact marinara sauce.

Because of the shaking brought on by Jerry's phony volcano, a real one under the fake one begins shaking. Real lava then spouts through the ground, forcing everyone to run away and narrowly escape.

The girls manage to get everyone away from the real volcano by using the regular beach items and being incredibly resourceful; Clover uses a towel as a parachute to capture the hot air coming from the volcano and lift everyone to safety.

After their intense adventure in Hawaii, the last thing Sam, Clover, and Alex want to think about is anything related to Hawaii. Unfortunately, a luau was selected as the dance's theme while they were away.
