Answer: Condor

Named Pachu, it elected to stay in the village after the rest of the inhabitants fled to avoid Spanish soldiers.

2. The medallions both Esteban and Zia have around their necks, are revealed to have what purpose?

Answer: Keys to the city of gold

The children are informed of this by Kraka, Chief of the 'City of The High Peak.'

3. Where do the children go to see Mayuka, to ask him about Esteban's father?

Answer: Machu Picchu

He tells Esteban of how a Western man sacrilegiously had a son with an Inca priestess. Inca priests put the man and his son on a raft at sea, and sacrificed the woman. Esteban could have been that boy.

4. Up until episode 14, Esteban's medallion is incomplete. Up till now, who possessed the other half?

Answer: Mendoza

Mendoza took that half when he rescued Esteban as a baby. In this episode, he is forced to hand back the sun part of the medallion in exchange for the lives of Sancho, Pedro and himself.

He had previously stolen the cannon and the four cannon balls from Gomez, along with some gunpowder. After the cannon balls fail to hit their target (just), Tao cleverly utilises the gun powder to construct some makeshift bombs, with the help of some earthenware jars.

A girl leads the travellers to her village after they rescued her from being sacrificed by the Urubu, but this results in the latter attacking the village, which is only thrawted due to a make-shift submarine that Tao has devised.

Inside the abandoned city, they discover a temple with a golden sun emblem on the wall. After Esteban removes the centre piece, what looks like a giant golden condor appears amidst a blinding light.

It told them 'a great danger will threaten the city,' and that the Condor will be able to help them during this dangerous period. Quipus were mad up of strings, one long one with shorter ones hanging from it of different colours and lengths. In this day and age, no one can read quipus, including the ancestors of the Incas.

9. The lever inside the condor is made in the likeness of what animal?

Answer: Snake

This lever is revealed to be the method of controlling the giant condor (joystick style). In the title sequence of every episode, Esteban can be seen steering the condor with two levers, when in fact, we only ever see one in the actual episodes.

10. In episode 20, Esteban realises he is no longer afraid of what?

Answer: Heights
