"The View" Celebrates "All My Children" Quiz

Carruthers said she loved the introduction of Brot Monroe as the Iraq War veteran reuniting with his fiancée in Pine Valley, Taylor Thompson. JR Martinez, who himself served in Iraq, portrayed Brot.

Irizarry came out with Cameron Mathison (Ryan), Rebecca Budig (Greenlee) and Alicia Minshew (Kendall) to talk about "AMC". Irizarry spoke about the scene where people got to learn David's back story. They then showed a clip of David confessing to Erica about the time his mother, Vanessa, goaded his father, Charles Hayward, into suicide.

Thorsten Kaye entered the set of "The View" to pay a tribute to a deceased cast member: Eileen Herlie (Myrtle). Kaye commented on the tender friendship Zach and Myrtle shared as well as how that translated behind the cameras. According to Kaye, Herlie often mentioned her past acting experience which included starring in a project with Laurence Olivier.

Laurence Lau (Greg) and Kim Delaney (Jenny) spoke with "The View" co hosts about the beautiful love story about Greg and Jenny. In the next segment, Darnell Williams (Jesse) and Debbi Morgan (Angie) came out to talk with Lau and Delaney. Greg and Jenny as well as Jesse and Angie were four of the most popular characters from the early 1980s of "All My Children". Fans, actors and actresses from "AMC" and soap columnists consider the friendship between the four one of the best told in soap history.

When Alicia Minshew (Kendall) and Rebecca Budig (Greenlee) partook in the debate about their fondest "AMC" memories, both of them looked back on their characters first run in with each other. Kendall and Greenlee started out as enemies who had a major brawl at a bridal fair.

The clip included both characters clawing at one another in wedding dresses. Minshew and Budig credited this hysterical scene as influencing their close friendship off screen.

Duhamel briefly appeared to mention his response to the news on ABC pulling the plug on "All My Children". As much of what he has today is attributed to his big break at the soap, he wanted to play Leo one last time before the final episode. He contacted Judy Blye Wilson, the show's casting director (plus the official who cast him as Leo), about making a one day appearance.

LaRue briefly looked back on all which she treasured about her long running stint as Maria on "All My Children". Relatable characters, a family environment as well as getting her first prime start into acting were her favorite aspects to "AMC". To conclude her appearance on this showing of "The View", LaRue expressed her thoughts about saying goodbye to her former stomping ground being anything but simple.
