Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. With the weight of his world on his young shoulders, Chris delivers one not so tall tale after another on his hit series "Everybody Hates Chris". Which of these folks is NOT one of Chris' family members?

Answer: Keisha

Keisha was Chris' dream woman in the first couple of seasons, but she moved to Compton. Keisha never even noticed Chris, and made no secret of her attraction to his younger brother Drew. Julius and Rochelle are Chris' parents. In addition to his sister Tonya, we have also seen Chris's grandparents, uncles, and aunts. Created and narrated by Chris Rock, and inspired by his own life, the show offers a hilarious take on his experiences. In the series he has two siblings, but in real life Chris has six younger siblings.

Chris moved on to a crush on his neighbor Tasha after Keisha moved away.
2. Where have Lucas, Nathan, Keith, Dan, Deb, Haley and Jamie Scott all lived?

Answer: Tree Hill

Tree Hill has been prolific for the Scott clan. On "One Tree Hill" the Scott family has a legacy of basketball, teen pregnancy, early marriage, booze, infidelity, manipulation and murder. Heck, with all that you would have thought I was talking about "Melrose Place".
Here is a Scott family synopsis:
Dan is the younger brother of Keith Scott. Dan impregnated his teen love Karen Roe, and then abandoned her for college basketball. Three months later Dan meets and impregnates Debra Lee. He decides to marry Debra, after all she has more money, and virtually abandons his obligations to his first born son Lucas Scott. We later discover that Dan made a small attempt early in Luke's life to get involved, but Karen stopped it to spare Luke. In the meantime, Keith had taken over for Dan in the father figure department while hiding a deep love for Karen. Cut to many years later and now both of Dan's sons, Lucas and Nathan, are talented basketball players. They hate each other at first, and Nathan (Deb's son) becomes involved with Luke's best friend Haley James. And like all great dramas, we find out Luke's harbored a deep passion for Nathan's on/off girlfriend Peyton Sawyer. Dan is set ablaze inside his own dealership, and believing that his brother Keith did it, kills Keith in the high school. We later find out the estranged wife Deb did it, but Keith knew the whole time. Deb later confesses to Dan during their son Nathan's second wedding to Haley James. Haley and Nathan become parents in their senior year of high school, bringing forth the adorable James Lucas Scott. The newest Scott has many nicknames. Mostly he's called Jamie, but also Jimmy Jam. After Keith's death, Karen finds out she is having his baby and delivers Lily Scott at the end of season four.
3. Though I never watched, I know that "Smallville" is the Earthly home of a superhero. Who is this hero with their title?

Answer: Clark Kent, Superman

Superman first appeared in comics in the late 1930s! A traveler from a distant planet, the alien child Kal-El is found and cared for by the Kents. Under his new identity of Clark Kent, Kal-El excels in most everything he does. Clark Kent and Superman have appeared in many forms over many years. "Smallville" is named after the Kents' hometown where Clark is raised.

The show debuted on the WB in 2001 and began its seventh season on the merged CW in 2007. This installment of the franchise has Tom Welling playing our hero.
4. Their fates have hung in the balance throughout this show's history. The orphaned Winchester brothers hunt demons on a seemingly endless road trip of justice, destiny, and fate. Witches, wendigos, ghosts, and demons who bribe, which CW show have I just described?

Answer: Supernatural

Sam and Dean Winchester were raised on other worldly phenomenon. In the series opener, Sam was trying his hand at normal in college. Then his girlfriend Jessica was murdered by the same demon who'd killed his mother Mary when he was six months old. Sam reluctantly joined his older brother Dean in the search for their father in season one. Sam was the one who pained about their job and pined for his normalcy- at first.

Then, by season three he'd changed to a man determined to save his brother from the fires of Hell. Jared Padelecki and Jensen Ackles play Sam and Dean.
5. "One Tree Hill" character- It's no secret I love sports. Though I haven't been known to play them, my friends supported my skills as an internet sportscaster. I broadcast Ravens games in high school and worked for a TV station after college. I have crushed Brooke Davis, Rachel Gatina and Shelly Simon, but had an affair with my first TV boss Alice. Who am I?

Answer: Mouth

Lee Norris has played Marvin 'Mouth' McFadden since the series premiere of "One Tree Hill". Lee turned 26 years old while filming the first part of season five in 2007. Mouth and his good buddy Jimmy Edwards were co-sports announcers for the Ravens until Mouth and Lucas Scott slowly incorporated into part of the popular crowd.

This wasn't a place Jimmy felt comfortable in, which probably kept him from reaching out to Mouth and Lucas as time went by. Jimmy's isolation and loneliness culminated in a desperate act in season three.

He held the school hostage with a gun, which ended in him taking his own life. Dan Scott used this opportunity to murder his brother Keith, and make it look like Jimmy had done it.
6. Commonalities- Which of these "Gilmore Girls" groupings is incorrect?

Answer: Locale- Richard, Emily, Kirk, Lane and Paris

You could add Lorelai and Sookie to the proprietorship list, as they co-owned the Dragonfly Inn in later seasons. But, Richard and Emily did not live in Stars Hollow, while Kirk, Lane and Paris did. Gypsy owned the local car repair shop, Taylor owned an ice cream shop and a grocery store, and Miss Patty owned a dance studio where town meetings were also held.

The show ended its run in 2007.
7. I am a vampire slayer from the south part of Boston, Mass. My story was presented to the viewers of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" to show what could have happened to Buffy if things had been different in her life. I initially tried to meld into the Scooby gang, but lost my focus in light of jealousy and mistakes I made. I killed a man and joined the bad guys, was put into an eight month long coma, went to Los Angeles to escape justice and tortured my former watcher for fun. Angel helped me break past the pain and when he needed me later I came through. What is my name?

Answer: Faith

Faith, played by Eliza Dushku, started on the series in its third season. She became a slayer after Drusilla killed Kendra. Faith arrived in Sunnydale after her watcher was killed by Kakistos, and was allowed to remain by the council. Giles was her watcher until he failed to perform at Buffy's cruciamentum, and was later replaced by Wesley Wyndam-Pryce. Wesley was an insufferable light weight in Sunnydale, but gained true hero status on the spin-off "Angel".

It was on "Angel" that Faith found her redemption after she accidentally stake deputy mayor Allen Finch, tried to kill both Buffy and Angel, and spent a 24 hour period riding around inside Buffy's body.

She spent two and half years in prison before Wesley sought her help to find Angelus during the reign of the beast. Faith captured Angelus at extreme jeopardy to herself, and then traveled to Sunnydale to help the gang beat back the first evil and its minion Caleb. Dushku went on to star in another amazing, if short lived, series called "Tru Calling".
8. Read this little rhyme carefully and pick the correct answer about a character from "Dawson's Creek". "Roses are red, or so I'm told. When a boy loves a girl he should be ever so bold. Girl loves boy and boy is blind. Boy loves girl, but he's out of time. Violets are blue. She loves Dawson, but then Pacey, Charlie and Eddie too. In the end he's ready to stick, but this lovely young woman finally made her pick." She chose Pacey, not Dawson, but what was her name?

Answer: Joey

Yep, Joey Potter loved her best bud Dawson Leery for years. She even loved him while she dated his best friend Pacey. They made a brief love connection later, in college, but it didn't work out. I guess they'd been too close for too long and the intimacy was hard to withstand.

After years had passed, and Dawson was producing a TV series about his life, he wanted to be with Joey. But, in the end Joey went back to her first true love Pacey Witter. Katie Holmes played Joey Potter for the series run of "Dawson's Creek", and later went on to star in the TomCat saga for the tabloids after her marriage to Tom Cruise.
9. Which Kansas city is the home town of the Winchester men on "Supernatural"?

Answer: Lawrence

The family moved away in 1983, after Mary Winchester was murdered in the nursery of six month old Sam Winchester. But, Sam and Dean returned to Lawrence to save another family at one point. From information on their police records, both men were born in Lawrence, and had an acquaintance who also lived there named Missouri Moseley. Missouri is the woman who revealed the world of demons to John Winchester after Mary's death.

She is a psychic played by Loretta Devine. Loretta has enjoyed a long career.

She has been seen in such hits as "A Different World", "Waiting to Exhale", "What Women Want", "I Am Sam", "Crash", "Grey's Anatomy" and "Dreamgirls".
10. On "Everybody Hates Chris", what was Chris's mom's favorite dessert treat?

Answer: Turtles

Rochelle's love of turtles was a common theme in the first three seasons. She was never too willing to share them, nor did she feel she should have to go without them when money was tight. Tichina Arnold was the perfect actress to play the role of Rochelle Rock. Tichina also played Pam, the best friend of Gina, on the sitcom "Martin".

For those you are not sure what a "turtle" is, it's basically any roundish candy made of chocolate, caramel and some nut. Many turtles are found containing walnuts or pecans, but any nut can be used.
