Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. An all time classic sit-com, the "Golden Girls" was set where?

Answer: Miami

The "Golden Girls" was one of the best sitcoms of all time. For seven years we lived, laughed and loved with Blanche, Rose, Dorothy and Sophia. None of the show was ever filmed in Miami and the house facade for outside shots was actually a home in Orlando.
2. The extensive Tanner family of "Full House" lived where?

Answer: San Francisco

"Full House" was set in San Francisco and followed widowed father Danny Tanner, who asked his best friend Joey and his brother-in-law Jesse to help raise his three daughters, D.J., Stephanie, and Michelle. "Full House" ran for eight seasons on ABC and was a popular part of its TGIF lineup in the mid '90's.
3. "American Dad", Seth MacFarlane's second animated series on FOX, is set in the fictional city of Stoolbend.

Answer: False

"American Dad" unfolds in Langley Falls, Virginia and follows uptight CIA agent Stan Smith and his funny family, neighbors and friends. Stan has to deal with a dorky son, a dumb wife, an alien he rescued from the CIA, his liberal, activist daughter and a talking goldfish named Klaus.
4. ABC's drama "Once Upon A Time" follows the lives of classic fairytale characters and is set in which fictional New England town?

Answer: Storybrooke

Storybrooke, Maine is made up of characters from fairy tales, who have been relegated to the real world. Because of this curse, the inhabitants of Storybrooke have no memory of their true identities and have been stuck timelessly in Storybrooke for years.
5. "Breaking Bad" (my all time favorite show) is about a mild mannered chemistry teacher whose life changes dramatically when he is diagnosed with lung cancer. Which beautiful American city does this show use as its backdrop?

Answer: Albuquerque

"Breaking Bad" stars Bryan Cranston of "Malcolm In The Middle" fame and Emmy winner Aaron Paul. Lead character Walter White turns to a life of crime, producing and selling crystal meth with a former student, Jesse Pinkman, desperate to secure his family's financial future before he dies.
6. For eight years the "Desperate Housewives" lived their mostly dramatic but sometimes humorous lives in what fictional city?

7. The classic western drama "Little House On The Prairie" was set in the Minnesota town of Mankato.

8. This one may be tough for you non-Canucks: In which Canadian city was the half-hour drama "Danger Bay" set?

Answer: Vancouver

"Danger Bay" followed the lives of the Roberts family, led by marine veterinarian Dr. Grant Roberts and his two children, Nicole and Jonah. The show featured the Vancouver Aquarium in nearly every episode. The series focused on environmental issues such as pollution, wildlife endangerment and forest preservation.
9. Another Canada based show, "Corner Gas", followed the lives of people in the small Prairie town of Dog River, Saskatchewan.

Answer: True

In the fictional town of Dog River, Saskatchewan, Corner Gas was the only gas station for miles in any direction. The show became an instant hit and was the recipient of six Gemini Awards. It continued to be popular in syndication after its original run.
