Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which game has the enemies called the Aparoids?

Answer: "Star Fox Assault"

Only a year after the defeat of Andross in "Star Fox Adventures" the Lylat System is now invaded by a new enemy called the Aparoids. These strange creatures walk and sound like robots but look like bugs. At least the Star Fox Team call them bugs. The only way to defeat them once and for all was to destroy the Aparoid Queen on their home planet (which looks like a giant bug itself).
2. In which game does a member of Team Star Fox die?

Answer: Neither

In "Star Fox Adventures" Falco disappears but doesn't die and he returns at the end of the game to rejoin the team. In "Star Fox Assault" there are a lot of casualties but not a single team member dies. Peppy makes the ultimate sacrifice in order to save the system by blowing up the Great Fox but he and ROB both survive. (Darn) Even members from Team Star Wolf survive. You fight Oikonny in the first chapter but he survives (HOW?) and returns in "Star Fox Command." Same for Pigma. You fight him in the Asteroid Belt but he survives too (Oh just kill them off already) and returns in "Star Fox Command" too.

The rest of Star Wolf help Star Fox destroy the Aparoid Homeworld but make it out of the planet safely as well. Let me guess: all of a sudden Andross is alive again huh? Okay I'm done complaining. Even General Pepper almost kicked the bucket.

After being turned into an Aparoid in mission 7 he commands you to destroy him, but after you destroy his ship, Peppy comes in out of no where and saves him.

But in "Star Fox Command" it was said that Pepper couldn't hold the position of General anymore, and Fox said he was at his death bed, so maybe he did die after all, but it doesn't explain if he died from the Aparoid infection or of old age. All I know is, if he wasn't in "Star Fox Command" then he's dead!
3. In which game do you have a dinosaur as a sidekick?

Answer: "Star Fox Adventures"

And an annoying sidekick at that. He's a Earthwalker (as they call them) and his name his Tricky. He may be annoying but without him you couldn't progress through the game. To me he is more like a pet then a sidekick. He follows you around everywhere, you need to feed him in order for him to do certain things, and you can even play fetch with him. You meet Tricky in "Star Fox Assault" again.

He may be grown up in this game but he still acts like a little brat.
4. Which game has the planet Sauria?

Answer: Both

"Star Fox Adventures" takes place on Sauria in the whole game, except in this game the planet was called Dinosaur Planet. It wasn't until "Star Fox Assault" that it was renamed Sauria. In "Assault" Aparoids have taken over the planet and you must save the planet once again.

This mission is called Reunion just like the mission on Katina in "Star Fox 64". Except you don't reunite with Fox's friend Bill, instead you reunite with Tricky. (Yay, Bleach!)
5. Which game has the villain General Scales?

Answer: "Star Fox Adventures"

You first meet this guy at the beginning of the game as Krystal, and you find out more about him from the Queen Earthwalker as Fox. It turns out he is the cause of the planet falling apart. He took the four Spellstones that help keep the planet together and now you must find the Spellstones and return them to the Force Point Temples.

As Fox you finally meet him at the Cloudrunner Fortress, but he escapes and you don't meet him again until the end of the game. The bad news is you don't even get to fight him, the thing is he is not even the main villain in the game, instead you fight Andross again. (Figures)
6. In which game do you have a different wingmate?

Answer: "Star Fox Assault"

Peppy decided to give up flying in the Arwing and instead remain on the Great Fox with ROB. This means you have a new wingmate flying beside you: Krystal. You save her in "Star Fox Adventures" and she decides to stay with the team. Whether the team wanted her for her good flying skills I think she stayed because of Fox. (Ahh, love at first site) Yeah... anyway along with Krystal, you still fly with Falco and Slippy, while Peppy and ROB give you special information and help guide you along the missions.
7. Which game is for the Nintendo Gamecube?

Answer: Both

"Star Fox Adventures" was the first to come to the Gamecube in 2002. "Star Fox Assault followed a little later and came out for the Gamecube in 2005. Both games are rated Teen manly for Violence, but to me there isn't that much violence in the games. "Adventures" was the sequel to "Star Fox 64" and "Assault" was the sequel to "Adventures." Even though they are both Star Fox games they are very different. "Adventures" is more like an Adventure game (Go Figure) and it is only a one-player game.

It takes longer to complete and you play on foot more than you fly in an Arwing.

A lot of people say it is almost like a Zelda game, but I don't play much of Zelda so I wouldn't know. "Assault is more like "Star Fox 64." You fight in an Arwing, a Landmaster, and on foot.

There is a story mode for one-players only, and also multiplayer modes as well. But instead of choosing your next destination in story mode, there are only ten missions and only one ending. But both are great games to have if you have a Gamecube and a Star Fox fan (like me!)
8. In which game does The Great Fox get destroyed?

Answer: "Star Fox Assault"

Yes the mighty ship that has been home to the team for so long finally met its match. But if you want to blame anyone, blame Peppy. In order to open up a way into the Aparoid Homeworld interior he crashes the Great Fox into the shield surrounding the entrance and while Fox and his wingmates fly in the shield reappears and the Great Fox explodes.

But don't worry Peppy and ROB fans, they both survive. Now with no Great Fox, the team had to get another giant spacecraft in the game "Star Fox Command." The problem is, it looks nothing like the original.

It looks like a giant Aircraft Carrier. May the original Great Fox be in us all!
9. Which game has the final boss battle on the planet Venom?

Answer: Neither

In "Star Fox Adventures" the final boss is Andross, but you fight him in space. You follow him off the planet Sauria in your Arwing and battle him in the little Asteroid Belt that surrounds the planet. And with a little help from Falco that's where you finally defeat him once and for all.

In "Star Fox Assault" the final boss is the Aparoid Queen but the battle takes place in the interior of their homeworld. In the first fight you just need to deal enough damage so you can fire the program that destroys all aparoids into her.

But after that she suppresses it and you move on to the second half of the battle. After you finally destroy her, the program reactivates and the queen, the aparoids, and the entire planet all get destroyed.
10. In which game do you have a staff as a weapon?

Answer: "Star Fox Adventures"

Unfortunately, General Pepper doesn't allow Fox to bring his blaster along in this game, so you must find another weapon. To me this weapon is much cooler anyway. The staff can be wield in melee combat or you can use the fire blaster, the ice blaster, and the ground quake upgrades for ranged combat.

In "Star Fox Assault," when your doing a mission on foot, all your weapons are ranged, but there are many weapons you can choose from. You can have your blaster, and machine gun, a homing launcher, a sniper, mines, and others. Thank you for taking my quiz and I hoped you liked it.
