Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which operator of the following held a prominent role in "Modern Warfare's" campaign?

Answer: Farah

The other three operators do not show up in the game at all, whilst Farah is only behind the main protagonist for screen time in the campaign. She was also the face of "Modern Warfare's" sixth season, and the player could acquire a legendary outfit and emblem for her if they finished the season's battle pass.
2. This fan favorite has had some level of impact on every Treyarch game made since 2007, right up until "Cold War". Who is it?

Answer: Woods

Woods actually joined the scene before "Cold War" came out, then had a second version of himself attached to the game. As such, he became the first operator to appear twice in the game.
3. Which operator of the following appeared in the "Cold War" campaign?

Answer: Park

Park takes on a secondary character role in the campaign, and an important "choose your own adventure" moment late in the campaign either results in the player saving her life, or abandoning her to be KIA by a group of Russian hostile in favor of saving Sims. Unofficially, according to dataminers, Park was the most used "Cold War" operator in the game's first season.
4. Early in the lifespan of "Cold War", an operator was released on both the CIA and Spetsnaz sides who then joined "Warzone". These operators were meant to be used by the franchise's yearly league participants for tournament play at the highest level. With both operators sharing the same name, what was the name of the two operators?

Answer: Competitor

The Competitor is a mostly lifeless operator who only speaks in game, has no role in any campaign, and has no noticeable gesture when selected unlike every other operator. It is not known why they are the only operators available for tournament play, considering operators in general do not give any inherit benefit or disadvantage to the player.
5. Surprisingly, in February of 2021, this longtime character, who had only ever been seen in various Zombies mode across the previous fifteen years, was introduced as an operator. Who is this?

Answer: Samantha Maxis

Maxis, in an adult and seemingly human form, was introduced to the game as an operator. Perhaps even stranger was that she did not actually have a 'base skin', and was only released as a legendary skin. The skin depicting Maxis was included within a small bundle of items that were all buyable for ten dollars.

While this seems like (and may very well have been) a simple cash grab, it was also unprecedented. Never before had a character been introduced without a base skin, only obtainable through spending real life money. Every other operator either came freely and was immediately available, or was available following the completion of certain in-game feats, such as recording kills with certain weapons, or in a certain way.
6. When viewing an operator's backstory and learning about their narratives outside of the game, many personal traits and oddly specific facts about them are included in their in-game bio. Which of the following is an example?

Answer: Their blood type

This bears no actual in-game relevance of any sort, as nobody is ever going to perform a blood transfusion thick in the middle of a combat battlefield. Still, for the curious, they could learn this about their favorite operator if they wanted to.
7. Is it possible to select the same operator as someone else in a game?

Answer: Yes

There are, and have been, entire regiments based around their collective favorite operator, who will all enter a game lobby together, select this operator, and enjoy the game with them. Beyond that, it is possible, and quite likely at that, that this will happen.

In "Warzone's" Battle Royale mode, in fact, it is virtually impossible that this will not happen. There are 47 different operators, and the mode itself allows up to 150 players at a time to participate in a game. Unless the game began with a total drastically under capacity (which almost never happens), it is extremely unlikely that two players with the same operator wouldn't be playing in a given game.
8. Tired of the same skin on your operator? Fret not, for there are many different ways a player can get multiple skins of their favorite operator. Which of the following is one way to accomplish this?

Answer: Unlocking them via completing an in-game challenge

A player can: A. Buy one of many different skins, B. Unlock certain skins via gameplay or C. Unlock the skins on the game's battle pass. The skins unlockable via gameplay cannot actually be purchased, so a player using one of such skins will be showing off that they actually earned their skin, and probably did so with an extensive amount of gameplay. Battle pass-exclusive skins also become locked off after the season the battle pass is associated with has ended, so they are limited edition in that sense.
9. Can "Cold War" operators be used in "Modern Warfare" gameplay?

Answer: No

If the player were to leave "Warzone" and begin playing "Modern Warfare", they would be relegated to only selecting operators from that specific game. As such, if the player is purchasing any bundles, they are strongly advised to read the fine print before signing off: the game will tell them if what they are buying can or cannot be used in one game or the other, and this is specifically the case in operator based bundles.

In these bundles, the game will inform the player if a certain operator, weapon or aesthetic is "Black Ops only" or "Modern Warfare only"
10. Can "Modern Warfare" operators be used in "Cold War"?

Answer: No

Just like the vice versa, "Modern Warfare" operators can only be used in "Warzone" along with their own game. The two can, and often do clash and/or work together in "Warzone", but they cannot encroach upon the other's base game.
