Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Since you currently don't have a job, which "Final Fantasy" are you most likely to be from?

Answer: "Final Fantasy 5"

Of the four "Final Fantasy" games named, only 5 allows you to be without a class. This turns out to be one of the strongest classes available at the end of the game, though, since it inherits abilities from other mastered jobs. Of course, that means you'll have to actually get a job to be good without one...
2. Now, let's look at your file... Hmm, says here you like to copy people. I guess that means you can't be from...

Answer: "Final Fantasy 4"

"Final Fantasy Tactics" allows players to use the Mime class, as well as "Final Fantasy 5" and "Final Fantasy 6." While 7 and 10 don't have class systems or character-specific classes, both allow characters to access miming abilities (through the Mime command materia in 7 or the Copycat skill in 10). "Final Fantasy 4" has no characters that can truly mimic anyone, though.
3. So one of your interests seems to be zoology. Which "Final Fantasy" class would you most likely not wish to become?

Answer: Berserker

The Hunter comes from "Final Fantasy 5" and can call upon random forest animals to aid him/her in battle.

The Trainer is in "Final Fantasy 5" and "Final Fantasy X-2," and uses a captive animal or monster to help him/her. There's also an offshoot of this class known as the Beastmaster in "Final Fantasy Tactics Advance" that can talk to mosters to convince them to join your side. Mediators in "Final Fantasy Tactics" can do this as well, with the help of a certain ability.

Blue Mages can be anyone capable of using Blue Magic, abilities learned from monsters. While the class itself is only defined in "Final Fantasy 5," "Final Fantasy 6," and "Final Fantasy Tactics Advance," there are many other characters who can use Blue Magic in one form or another. Quistis ("Final Fantasy 8") uses it as her Limit Break. Quina ("Final Fantasy 9") is defined as a Gourmand, but still has access to Blue Magic. Kimahri ("Final Fantasy 10") has the Ronso Rage overdrive, which emulates Blue Magic. Characters who equip the Enemy Skill materia in "Final Fantasy 7" will have access to the Enemy Skill ability set, which also emulates Blue Magic. Finally, the Gun Mage dressphere from "Final Fantasy 10-2" can use Blue Magic as well.

The Berserker, which appears in "Final Fantasy 5" and "Final Fantasy 10-2," has nothing to do with animals, aside from wearing animal skins.
4. Perhaps you'd like to emulate Mog from "Final Fantasy 6." However, the only Final Fantasy classes available are those from "Final Fantasy 5." Which classes would you most likely study to get Mog's innate skills?

Answer: Lancer, Dancer, Geomancer

Mog's unique ability is Dance, so you'd likely have to study as a Dancer to do this. However, his Dances rely upon the place where he dances, so being a Geomancer will allow you to draw power from the terrain. He also has great skill with a spear, requiring training in the Lancer class.
5. Perhaps you'd like to practice White Magic, but you aren't particularly interested in being a White Mage. Well based on what previous candidates have done, all of the following "Final Fantasy" classes may be viable options except...

Answer: Chemist

While most incarnations of the Archer class are famous only for using a bow for ranged attacks, the "Final Fantasy 3" incarnation of the class is also capable of using low-level White Magic. The Knight from the first "Final Fantasy" is also capable of White Magic use. "Final Fantasy 10-2"'s Mascot class can also use it... or at least Rikku's can. Chemists, although they can enhance the healing properties of potions and mix items for new potions, do not have any actual White Magic (although "Final Fantasy 5" Chemists can use Recover, which is about the next best thing).
6. You seem to be very skilled with a sword. In that case, which of these magic-based "Final Fantasy" classes is for you?

Answer: Red Mage

Red Mages can use swords in just about every "Final Fantasy" title they've been included in. Summoners and Black Mages are often stuck with wands, although Black Mages can sometimes equip knives. Geomancers were stuck with bells in "Final Fantasy 5" but switch to using axes in "Final Fantasy Tactics."
7. You've been awfully quiet... I guess your favorite status effect is Silence. Which type of "Final Fantasy" magic has never been identified with causing Silence, at least through "Final Fantasy X-2"?

Answer: Black Magic

While you might think that an offensively-based skill set like Black Magic would include something like this, the fact is it's almost always a White Magic spell. Summon Magic also has a few spells that cause Silence (usually Siren), and Yin-Yang Magic (link to Oracles from "Final Fantasy Tactics") also has a Silence-causing spell.
8. If you want to become the Gunner class from "Final Fantasy 10-2," which of the following "Final Fantasy" characters would you be least likely to apprentice under?

Answer: Edgar

Yuna starts off in 10-2 as a Gunner, and both Vincent (from 7) and Irvine (from 8) use guns as their main weapons. While Edgar (from 6) does have some forms of firearms, they can only be used with a special skill.
9. Which of the following classes can you not be if you're a male?

Answer: Elementalist

The Dancer class is a female-only class in "Final Fantasy Tactics," but is also available to the men in "Final Fantasy 5." The Red Mage class is usable by both sexes in every "Final Fantasy" it's featured in except "Final Fantasy Tactics Advance." The same can be said about the Summoner class, except that the class is also female-exclusive in "Final Fantasy 4." Elementalists are only in "Final Fantasy Tactics Advance," and are exclusive to the Viera race, of which only females are playable.
10. Which of the following "Final Fantasy" classes would be the least likely to be a person's first job?

Answer: Hunter

The Thief class is available as a starting class in "Final Fantasy 1," "Final Fantasy 10-2," and "Final Fantasy Tactics Advance," as well as being one of the first accessable classes in "Final Fantasy 3" and "Final Fantasy 5." The Squire class is one of the initial classes in "Final Fantasy Tactics" and "Final Fantasy 11." While an advanced class in "Final Fantasy 5," the Chemist class accompanies the Squire as the other "Final Fantasy Tactics" initial class.

The Hunter class is available fairly late in a character's development in every game it's been in.
11. Which of the following characters from "Final Fantasy 4" would you apprentice under if you wished to become a Sage like in "Final Fantasy 3?"

Answer: Rydia

The Sage of "Final Fantasy 3" was the ultimate spellcaster, capable of using all three magics of that world (White, Black, and Summon). Cid, of course, has no access to any magic, unless you count his Peep ability and the Quake effect from his Gaia Hammer.

While Tellah is counted as a Sage in "Final Fantasy 4," both he and FuSoYa can only access Black and White Magics, not Summon. Only Rydia can access all three types of magic... well, she could as a child, at least.
12. You've learned from Steiner and Vivi (of "Final Fantasy 9") how to combine your friends' Black Magic into your sword for powerful attacks. Which of the following classes would you likely feel least comfortable with?

Answer: Paladin

The Sorcerer ("Final Fantasy 5") is the perfect one-person version of Steiner and Vivi's combined Sword Magic skill. The "Final Fantasy 10-2" version of the Warrior can also use elementally-charged attacks. While none of the incarnations of the Ninja could magically charge their weapons, several versions combine the magic-based damage of Black Magic with the physical strength of a Warrior (most notably the Ninja of "Final Fantasy 1" and "Final Fantasy 4"). Paladins, however, have never had the skill to utilize Black Magic in any way, whether by charging weapons or by using it directly.
13. If you'd like to learn how to use the art of mind control, which of the following "Final Fantasy" characters would you be least likely to learn the ability from?

Answer: Yang

Relm, the Pictomancer from "Final Fantasy 6" could easily control her enemies' actions when she donned the Fake Moustache relic. Cait Sith from "Final Fantasy 7" starts off with the Manipulate materia equipped, which also allows the use of the Control ability. Quin, a semi-secret character from "Final Fantasy Tactics Advance," is a Nu Mou, and thus has access to the Beastmaster's Control.

While Yang is under the influence of mind control at least once in the course of "Final Fantasy 4," he's never able to utilize the ability himself.
14. You want access to an ability with "Flare" in its name, but not necessarily the actual "Flare" spell. Which class would you not wish to use?

Answer: Sorcerer

In "Final Fantasy 4," the twin Mysidian mages Palom and Porom, who practiced White and Black Magics, could combine their powers into Twin spells. This included two powerful spells.
15. Strago from "Final Fantasy 6" asked where he could fit in should he want to transfer to "Final Fantasy 5". I thought he should have just retired because of his age, but what job from "Final Fantasy 5" would he feel most comfortable with?

Answer: Blue Mage

Blue Mages have the ability to copy an enemy's skill. This is just what Strago does on "Final Fantasy 6". Some of Strago's abilities include Lv. 4 Flare, Condemn, and Quasar.
