The loose cannon, Sergeant John Forge, is the main character in the fifteen mission story. He has been promoted five times and demoted three times; decorated for valor and gallantry on the battlefield, but who just as many counts for insubordination, conduct unbecoming and striking a superior officer.

His men say 'He's the guy you want in the foxhole next to yours... but you'd never introduce him to your sister'.

2. You are in a skirmish battle, playing as The Covenant and you are being attacked by an army of warthogs. What units would you train to counter this attack?

Answer: Hunters

You may remember the hunters from the original 'Halo' games. They are very large brutal beasts with a heavily armored left arm, but a well-aimed shot to its back, or a few well-placed plasma grenades, can take them down in no time. However, in 'Halo Wars' they are the perfect anti-vehicle unit.

Answer: Serina

The smart A.I. of the Spirit of Fire, Serina is capable of controlling and commanding numerous units. She has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. As well, she gets on Professor Anders' nerves.

Captain James Gregory Cutter, commanding officer of the UNSC Spirit of Fire CFV-88 is a superior battle tactician but a better logistics officer. He is fighting the Covenant on the front line, commanding hundreds of marines amongst other things, but his biggest toil is trying to keep Sergeant Forge and Professor Anders in line despite their 'independent' personalities.

Professor Ellen Anders, owner of three PhD's with an IQ of 180, is the preeminent expert in theoretical Xeno-biopsychology. She has been invited to join the Office of Navel Intelligence and work out what the Covenant are after on Harvest.

The field armory allows you to upgrade your turrets, as well as research adrenaline, reserves and reinforcements. You can also upgrade your MAC Blast/Carpet Bomb/Cryo Bomb, depending on who your hero is.

The Covenant finds out about a very powerful arsenal on an unexplored planet and what awaits them? Yes- The Flood. The arsenal is set up by the forerunners (just like the Halo Rings), so, therefore The Flood are waiting for them too.

Costs a lot to buy, takes a long time to construct, uses up 20 of your population count, but is capable of devastating any and all units that stand against it. It is even so tough that a Spartan can't hijack it.

9. In the video leading into the last level, we see Sergeant Forge battling with the Arbiter, while 'Red Squadron' tackles an oncoming mass of Elites. Who is Red Squadron?

Answer: A team of three Spartans

Three Spartans, two armed with small automatic SMG type guns and the third armed with a shotgun, take out a group of about twenty-five Elites in a very comical, yet awesome video. Forge defeats the Arbiter, while they defeat the Elites in the true "Spartan" style.

10. When is 'Halo Wars' based?

Answer: Twenty years before the 'Halo' event

Based twenty years before the events in the first 'Halo' game, there are a lot of differences. We follow the Spirit of Fire instead of the Pillar of Autumn, although the Pillar is mentioned and appears once or twice in the story. There is no Master Chief.

There are a lot of Spartans around at this time and there is no Cortana. You can, however, look at a time line that documents the events from before the start of 'Halo Wars' up to the start of 'Halo'.
