Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of these cannot be played as a "Special Melee?"

Answer: Metal Melee

Alas, there is no mode in which all can fight each other while trapped in a perpetual metallic coating! However, you can play in invisible melee, using only the A button in Single Button Mode, or take snapshots in Camera Mode.
2. Can you control Nana, Popo's counterpart in the character Ice Climbers?

Answer: Yes

It's technically a costume change, but the characters faces switch along with their costumes. This means in two of their costumes, Nana is the controllable character and Popo becomes the computer!
3. In a regular Vs. Mode melee, how many match types are available?

Answer: Four

You can play a Time match, a match with Stock lives, a Coin battle, or Bonus mode, in which you fight for style points. The Time and Stock matches are pretty self-explanatory, but in Coin Battle you fight for control of coins (they appear when someone lands a hit on an opponent), and in Bonus Mode, players fight for fighting style points.
4. Who is the other character (besides Mewtwo) that shows up in Event 44: "Mewtwo Strikes!?"

Answer: Zelda

At first, you only fight Zelda. However, if you kill her, it won't matter. To win, you must survive Zelda and defeat only Mewtwo, who appears about fifteen seconds later.
5. What trophy do you receive for playing 1,000 Versus matches?

Answer: Food

This trophy features every type of healing food item on the game. It's quite a "busy" trophy; all of the items are clustered on the trophy base and around each other.
6. How many "Kirby Hat" trophies are there?

Answer: Five

-Kirby Hat 1 features Kirby's copies of Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Mario, Link, and Samus.
-Kirby Hat 2 features his copies of Pikachu, Fox, Capt. Falcon, and Ness.
-Kirby Hat 3 features his copies of Ice Climbers, Zelda, Sheik, Peach, and Bowser.
-Kirby Hat 4 features his copies of Jigglypuff, Marth, Mewtwo, Luigi, and Mr. Game and Watch.
-Finally, Kirby Hat 5 features Falco, Roy, Pichu, Young Link, Dr. Mario, and Ganondorf.
7. Which of these is not a playable stage?

Answer: Lylat System: Great Fox

There are actually two playable stages in the Lylat System, but neither are labelled "Great Fox." One is named "Corneria" and the other is named "Venom." (Both involve fighting on the Great Fox.)
8. In Training Mode, which is not a setting that you can set upon the computer player that you are fighting?

Answer: Run

You can set the computer on "Walk," but not "Run."
All of the settings are as follows: Stand, Walk, Evade, Jump, Attack, and Human.
9. Which of the following characters does not have a move that sets the opponent on fire?

Answer: Dr. Mario

-Ness' Smash Over B, "PK Fire" sets the opponent on fire and holds him helpless for several seconds if he is caught in it.

-Peach's Smash Over B, "Peach Bomber" sends Peach flying a small distance, and whoever is caught in the path of her hip is sent flying a ways while on fire.

-When Jigglypuff's Down B move, Rest, is executed when Jigglypuff is exactly in the same place as an opponent, he is sent flying with a nice addition of percent - and of course - on fire.

Mario's B move sends out a Fireball, but Dr. Mario's sends out a "fireproof" pill instead. Therefore, he has no fire moves.
10. What is the longest that one can play Multi-Man Melee in a single round?

Answer: No Limit

There are several different ways to play in "Multi-Man Melee" Mode. One can play a 10-Man Melee, a 100-Man Melee, a Cruel Melee, or the timed Melees: 3-Minutes, 15-Minutes, or Endless Melee.

I hope you enjoyed my quiz. Now you should know everything you need to be a "Smash Bros." champion! Get fighting!
