Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. You only have 8 iron ingots and a sword. Which of these is best to craft before fighting?

Answer: A chestplate

A diamond chestplate will provide 8 armor points, and will protect you from 32% of the damage. A helmet will protect you from 12% of the damage. Leggings will protect you from 24% of the damage.
2. What is the only mob that spawns underwater in the unmodded game?

Answer: Squid

Squid are aquatic mobs and are the only ones that can swim against a current. Fish are not counted as mobs, though you can fish for them.
3. How do you provoke an enderman?

Answer: Look it in the eyes or attack it

The only way to provoke an enderman is to attack it or look it in the eye. Running through its legs won't do anything (provided you don't look it in the eye), and it can teleport away from blocks. They can steal certain blocks.
4. Where do you hit someone to deal the most damage in PvP?

Answer: The head

Hitting the head in PvP deals twice as much as not hitting them in the head. Note that this does not apply for the heart region, as some might expect.
5. How are iron golems provoked?

Answer: By killing enough villagers or iron golems

Iron golems become hostile when you kill five villagers or three iron golems. The Iron Golem has the third highest health after the ender dragon and wither.
6. What two materials of tools are worst in PvP?

Answer: Wood and gold

Wood and gold deal the least damage of axes, shovels, picks, and swords. Emerald is only used in villager trading.
7. What mobs sink in water?

Answer: Magma cubes, slimes, and iron golems

Everything but magma cubes, slimes, and iron golems float in water or lava. A magma cube has a lava core inside its body.
8. Ouch! You've just been hit by a wither skull in normal difficulty. Why is your health bar black?

Answer: The wither effect

The wither effect turns your health bar black, which makes it harder to tell your remaining health. Not only that, it will slowly poison you. Some suggest to spawn it in the end to deal with the endermen.
9. What do endermen drop?

Answer: Ender pearls

The ender pearls allow you to teleport. Eyes of ender are made from ender pearls. You get the ender dragon egg after you kill the ender dragon.
10. How do wither skeletons spawn in the Overworld?

Answer: You use the /summon cheat

Nether Fortresses are the only other way to find wither skeletons, which are needed to spawn the Wither. When a spider is spawned in the Nether, there is a 0.8% chance it will also spawn a wither skeleton.
