Adrienne explores her house. When she finds locked doors, she goes to town and asks the realtor for all the missing keys. The realtor says that he gave her husband everything he had, but if she didn't believe her she can look for herself. Adrienne does so and finds a key. The realtor shrugs it off and says "So sue me!"

Adrienne explores what's behind the locked doors. She finds a flyer advertising Carno's "Phantasmagoria" show, she finds a letter opener disguised as a black onyx figurine, and she finds a letter from Carno to a man who has a book that Carno is interested in.

Adrienne finds a chapel hidden behind a fireplace. She uses the letter opener to remove the bricks (why she doesn't use the hammer is beyond me). She finds a very large book with Carno's family tree on top of a box. Then she hears a "Clink!" Part. One of the hinges on the box fell on the floor. She opens the box and a demon escapes and goes for her husband. Adrienne hears an "OW!" She rushes to her husband for help. She asks her husband what happened. Don thinks the lamp fell on top of him. Don says he's okay. In the chapter 1 ending video, it seems like that might be true. After that, it becomes clear the Don is NOT okay.

Adrienne should know what happened, but she doesn't realize it until much later.

Don did ask Adrienne for some drain cleaner in Chapter 1, but only once. Of course, Don's excuse for being wrong is that he's possessed by a demon. What's Adrienne's excuse? Anyway, Adrienne goes to the store in town and gets Don his drain cleaner.

Both Lou Ann and the owner of the general store tell Adrienne that the Carnovasch estate is haunted by Carno's ghost. They say that over 100 years ago, Carno and his wife died a violent death there, but strange things still happen there. It turns out they're both correct about strange things happening there, but they're both wrong about it being haunted by Carno's ghost.

He only says his name once and it's not important to know, but the owner of the drain cleaner store is named Harv. He sells drain cleaner, has some soup bones, and informs Adrienne of a really old man who used to live with Carno.

The song that Burgundy sings at the bar in La Costa Lotta in "Leisure Suit Larry 6" makes a surprise appearance in this game. I guess one Sierra adventure game for adults is borrowing from another. Unfortunately, you can't hear Burgundy singing it or read the lyrics. But on the plus side, every time you go into the general store "Cell Block Love" will be playing, and it will play for as long as you are there. In "Leisure Suit Larry 6", Burgundy is only sometimes, not always, singing "Cell Block Love" when you enter the bar, and she'll only sing it once. Once the song is over, the music reverts back to the normal music for the bar. Although you can leave the bar and come back as many times as you want and as long as she's there, it's always possible that she'll be singing that song.

"Cell Block Love" is a song about Sonny and Marie from the "Police Quest" series. The narrator is Marie and she's singing to Sonny.

The Templetons bought the place in 1910. They were going to turn it into a museum, but the workman they hired kept getting themselves seriously injured. One of them had his hands chopped off. One of them fell down a flight of stairs and was paralyzed for life.

This amazingly doesn't alarm Adrienne, whose husband is currently working on converting the bathroom into a photo lab and who had something seriously bad happen to him yesterday.

Lou Ann's book said the Regina choked to death on a piece of steak, Leonora fell down a flight of stairs and broke her neck, and Marie and Carno died together in a violent argument. It says that Carno's first 2 wives divorced him and were never heard from again. None of this is true. We learn later in the game that Carno murdered all his wives and his baby daughter.

It sadden me that the article about Carno's stage accident and the one about his death are written in a more serious tone than the articles about the known deaths of his wives. People were more saddened by death of the rich and famous murderer than they were by the murders of innocent young women. Well, to be fair, part of it was that the public didn't know what really happened to the wives. But the privilege that celebrities get, regardless of whether or not they were good people, was, is, and always will be a thing.

Answer: Spaz

You can get some nice scenes with Spaz and Adrienne early in the game. In chapter 2, Adrienne finds a barn door opened that had previously been locked and barred from the inside. She goes in there nervously. Then Spaz jumps out at her from the top place and scares her.

In Chapter 4, one of Adrienne's caretakers tries to kill the cat for food. In chapter 5, Don successfully drowns the poor kitty.

Answer: Cyrus and Harriet

Cyrus explores the whole island and he eventually finds other people who live here. When his mother gets stuck in a hole, he looks for help. He finds Adrienne and asks her to help. Adrienne is confused about the whole thing, not realizing that people were living with her. Adrienne goes into the barn to see Harriet stuck in a hole and screaming "HELP!" She reluctantly helps the mean, crazy woman.

Then she befriends them and hires them for some housework. Harriet reveals that she is a palm reader (which is probably why she is so poor). Adrienne gives Harriet some tarot cards that she found in Marie's bedroom.

You can sleep in Carno's bed once during the game. The bed will grab Adrienne. If you do this in chapter 1, Adrienne will call Don for help. Don will sit in the bed and tell Adrienne that there is nothing wrong with it. If you do this after chapter 1, Adrienne will not call Don.

Malcolm is over 110. He is barely alive. He doesn't want to relive his horrific memories. He is not sure his old nerves can take it. Adrienne's first visit to Malcolm ends up being an unfortunate waste of time.
