Answer: Pocket Snag Machine

The protagonist destroys the hideout and the main Snag Machine. He escapes with the Pocket Snag Machine so he can still snag Shadow Pokemon from CIPHER.

2. When you reach the Outskirt Stand, what bit of news is playing?

Answer: The destroying of Snagem's HQ

All of the people at Outskirt Stand wish for better news. The description of the Pocket Snag Machine doesn't come until later in the game.

3. What is the name of the character with whom you battle first?

Answer: Willie

He sends out his two Zigzagoons. He becomes a fan of yours, and is excited to battle you. Once you beat him, you can leave the Outskirt Stand.

4. Next, you go to Phenac City and see two shady characters with a sack of some kind. What is in the sack?

Answer: A girl

You have to fight the two guys. Once you beat them, you get the girl, which you get to name.

5. Name one of the two shady guys that have the sack.

Answer: Trudly

You have to fight one of them to get the sack and the girl back. Trudly and Folly will then run away.

6. You go to the mayor's house. A suspicious person (Nascour) leaves his house. What emotion does Nascour display toward you?

Answer: Impressed

Nascour says that he thinks you will be a good trainer and that you will see more of him. He's right- he's the "leader" of CIPHER.

Answer: Miror B, Trudly, and Folly

Miror B will leave, and you will have to fight against Trudly and Folly once again.

10. When you leave the mayor's house, three people will be blocking the exits. Each will have an evolution of a starter Pokemon from which set of games?

Answer: Gold/Silver/Crystal

Rosso, Bluno, and Verde, three CIPHER agents, will be blocking the exits. Rosso has Quilava, Bluno has Croconaw, and Verde has Bayleef. You must beat them to escape.
