Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In which classic NES game was Emperor Grax threatening the entire universe?

Answer: 3D World Runner

"3d World Runner" was an obscure NES game made by Square with 3D technology enabling you to play the game with virtual 3D graphics. "Suishou no Ryuu" and "Highway Star" were games released by Square for the Famicom in Japan only and "Faxanadu" was not a Square game.
2. Chaos attempted to conquer the world in which epic?

Answer: Final Fantasy

"Final Fantasy" was given such a title because Hironobu Sakaguchi's company, Square, was not faring very well and "Final Fantasy" was intended to be his last game produced. "Karin no Ken", "Deep Dungeon", and "Moon Ball Magic" were all games released for the Famicom, by Square, in Japan only.
3. Zelman is the last evildoer in which game?

Answer: Front Mission

The original "Front Mission" was, unfortunately, only released in Japan. Not until "Front Mission 3" did we see a "Front Mission" in the US. "Romancing SaGa", "Bahamut Lagoon", and "Radical Dreamers" were all games released for the Super Famicom in Japan only.
4. Zeromus is the pure hatred that attempts to manipulate the world in which game?

Answer: Final Fantasy IV

"Final Fantasy IV" was originally released in America as "Final Fantasy II" for the SNES. "Final Fantasy II" was released as part of "Final Fantasy Origins", "Final Fantasy III" has been released in Japan only, and "Final Fantasy V" was released as part of "Final Fantasy Anthology".
5. In which game does Lavos attempt world annihilation?

Answer: Chrono Trigger

"Chrono Trigger" took seven time-strewn adventurers and sent them on a quest to stop the coming of "Lavos." "Chrono Cross" was the PlayStation follow-up to "Chrono Trigger", while "Bahamut Lagoon" and "Rudra No Hihou" were Japan-only titles.
6. The cross-dressing Kefka attempted world ruin twice in which game?

Answer: Final Fantasy VI

Kefka's great laugh will ring through your ears for all time once you have played through "Final Fantasy VI" even one time! Zeromus was the villain in "Final Fantasy IV", X-Death tried world conquest in "Final Fantasy V", and Sephiroth was the megalomaniac in "Final Fantasy VII".
7. Who is the final boss in "Super Mario RPG"?

Answer: Smithy

Bowser and Mario are both playable characters, Wario doesn't appear in the game, while Smithy and his minions seem to only be interesting in dominating the entire world.
8. The Timedevourer threatens two possible worlds in which game?

Answer: Chrono Cross

"Chrono Cross" was more of a new story than a sequel to "Chrono Trigger". It was available on the PlayStation, as were "Chrono Trigger" (as part of "Final Fantasy Chronicles"), "SaGa Frontier", and "SaGa Frontier 2".
9. Valen pursues Rue and Mint in which PlayStation game?

Answer: Threads of Fate

"Threads of Fate" told one story from two different characters' points of view. "Vagrant Story", "Parasite Eve", and "Xenogears" were all RPGs on the PlayStation.
10. Ultimecia is the last sorceress that threatens the timestream in which PlayStation "Final Fantasy"?

Answer: Final Fantasy VIII

In "Final Fantasy VIII", the party batttles Sorceress Edea, Sorceress Adel, and Sorceress Ultimecia, in that order. "Final Fantasy VII" pits you up against Sephiroth, "Final Fantasy Tactics" asks you to best Altima Arc Angle, and Necron, not Kuja, is the final boss in "Final Fantasy IX".
