Answer: One day

The battle between secular and Islamic groups led to the charter's downfall after the arguments between the basis of the nation-state and whether Islam should be this basis or not.
4. Who became dictator of Indonesia after the failure of the 1955 elections?

Answer: Sukarno

1955 was the first-ever democratic elections held in Indonesia, but after Islamic groups received 47 percent of the vote, Sukarno dissolved Parliament and established his authoritarian government.

Aceh, a predominantly Muslim area, has been in a state of virtual rebellion for the past 35 years. It is amazing how it is termed a rebellion when Islam is the predominant religion in Indonesia!

Wahid became Indonesian President after being swept to power in late 1999-early 2000.
10. Although voting is carried out among the population, who actually votes for the President?

Answer: General Assembly

In what could be determined an undemocratic way, although civilians get to vote who they want in the represent their interests, the President themself is elected by the parliament.
