I'm with you witchypoo, whenever I hear the "Star Spangled Banner" I get teary eyed. Especially these days, thinking of so many of our fellow countrymen and women overseas. George Strait, "I Cross My Heart". Most people think of this as a love song, but if you listen to the lyrics, it brings back all the feelings I had when I had my first child. "I cross my heart and promise to give all I've got to give to make all your dreams come true. In all the world, you'll never find, a love as true as mine". I cry like a baby. Reply #126. When Dawn on Making the Band 4 sang about God and how He helped her with her struggles I started to think about everything that has been going on in my life and started to cry buckets and pray. I don't think that someone should be going through a suicide attempt in the family, two best freinds moving away, and someone in the family doing drugs and then I find out six months later all at the same time. That's what decent songs are supposed to do - they trigger reality and have a sort of cathartic effect on us. Sensitive songs make us feel that there is someone else out there who feels as we do.
