"Black is the Colour" sung by Christy Moore written by Hamish Imlach. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gw_Z5BvbnFE This song is a sad song about a woman but it fits my mood being in mourning for my brother. Reply #402. Feb 19 18, 3:49 AM |

I always cry when I hear Queen singing "Who Wants To Live Forever". Also, more recently, "Wrong Side Of Heaven" by Five Finger Death Punch. Watch the video, it's about the terrible treatment army veterans get when they return from war. I challenge you not to cry! Reply #405. Apr 19 18, 1:36 PM |

Here's a song that almost made a football manager cry. Rapha Benitez used to be the manager of Liverpool F.C. Later when he was manager of Chelsea FC and they were playing Liverpool, he was seen trying not to cry as Liverpool sang their anthem, "You'll Never Walk Alone" while holding up a large flag with the faces of all their former great managers including Benitez.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4aJp4WeEcA Reply #406. That was a bit short. Here's a longer version without Benitez. Chelsea fans try to outsing Liverpool fans but don't succeed against the power of YNWA. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N51jWNsW3F8 Reply #407. Apr 22 18, 1:28 PM |

Black by Pearl Jam takes me as close as anything else. It's just a reflection on the 'might have been'. I know someday you'll have a beautiful life I know you'll be a star In somebody else's sky But why Why Why can't it be Why can't it be mine How sad never to have felt that about someone else, or how lucky? Add the video to "The Blower's Daughter" and it's a huge puddly mess for me. Add the film "Closer" and it's just painful. "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri Reply #413. Oct 10 18, 12:53 AM |

Oh, Christina Perry! My friend walked down the aisle to "Thousand Years" and she looked so beautiful I cried, so now I tear up again every time I hear that song, too. Reply #415. Oct 12 18, 4:17 AM |

Jen, I second Don't Speak It was on the radio once when I was caring for my mum who was dying of motor neurone disease and could, literally, no longer speak. Still can't hear it without tearing up. Reply #418. Nov 20 18, 6:39 AM |
