My wife and I have about a million songs that are "our song". If, God forbid, I were to lose her, I can't imagine being able to listen to any of them ever again.

Great songs you have given the old tear ducts to reminisce on. I wanted to know what you would think of an instrumental piece being a song or not. This 8 minute piece of music saddens me everytime I listen to it. Everytime. The best sadness you can ever experience. When one wants to feel sad and the only thing you have is Samuel Barber. That's all you need.

So much thought can be produced by listening to this. I think.

Boxjaw, I totally agree with you! That song always gets me, too! Especially after hearing it played in the movie "Platoon". One of my favorite movies & the use of this song during the last scene of the movie was brilliant. A beautiful & sad song. Love it! :)

I heard another song today that always gets to me. "Nothing Compares 2 U" by Sinead O'Connor. Absolutely beautiful & a real tearjerker. :'(

Yes he is. He's also one of, if not the, best tenors currently singing. Sarah Brightman used to be married to Andrew Lloyd Webber.

This always brings a tear to my eye. It reminds me so much of my relationship with my father.
