The entire album "Hospice" by The Antlers left me in tears. Reply #321. Apr 23 13, 10:32 AM |

Not "Almost" make me cry, but guaranteed to bring a tear every time as all these songs have personal memories of a lost loved one. "La Vie En Rose" by Edith Piaf, "Mama Tried" by Merle Haggard, "Snowbird" by Anne Murray, and "Drive" by the Cars. Reply #322. May 03 13, 10:44 AM |

Almost? Songs linked to lost friends, especially those that died before they hit 21. Such a waste. 'Kung Fu Fighting' Carl Douglas 'Paint it Black' Rolling Stones 'Dust in the Wind' by Kansas 'Song for Guy' Elton John Reply #323. May 03 13, 11:22 AM |

The song "Lay it Down Slow" always makes me sad, because it was the song they played on the last episode of Prison Break. Reply #326. Jun 19 13, 1:34 PM |

Johnny Cash's version of Lightfoot's "If you could read my mind". The cracked vocal, his deteriorating health and recent bereavement. Makes me cry every time I hear it. Wonderful. Reply #327. Jun 19 13, 2:52 PM |

Of course, Daniel; but I like Johnny Cash's version of "Hurt" far better than the original by Nine Inch Nails. ;) Reply #332. Jun 20 13, 11:24 AM |

I've heard quite a few songs that DID make me cry. The ones that come to mind are "Don't Give Up" by Peter Gabriel with Kate Bush, "Don't Cry Daddy" by Elvis, "Bridge Over Troubled Water" by Simon and Garfunkel and "The Only Living Boy In New York", also by Simon and Garfunkel. These are just a few that tug at my heartstrings. Reply #333. Jun 20 13, 10:09 PM |

No almost about it...I can't make it to the end of either "Back on the Chain Gang" by the Pretenders or "Limits to Love" by Til Tuesday. Reply #336. Aug 19 13, 4:19 AM |

A doomed relationship I was part of back in '87 while stationed in the FRG used to get me to tear up listening to this song after it was all over. Bruce Springsteen - "Brilliant Disguise" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4r5xqiBl-Vs Reply #340. Aug 19 13, 12:07 PM |
