Never heard of Zager and Evans.

Yeah, I don't have to click the clicker thingy on my laptop, I can just touch stuff with my finger. Are all laptops not like that? Like so many other things in my life, I would just love to be able to actually go to the place that sells the particular item that I am wanting to buy so that I can see with my own eyes what I am buying and ask the questions I want to ask, but since things are the way they are with the transportation issue, I usually just have to have other people go get things for me, and just cross my fingers that they get the right thing. I mean, I'm not complaining at all about the touchscreen thing, I think that is pretty cool.

"In the Year 2525" was Number 1 here in the states for 6 weeks in 1969 and Number 1 in Great Britain for 3 weeks around the same time, July-August 1969. It is available on U-Tube. It is an earworm.

I went back to school today, I'm not going to have as much time as I've had the past month. The past month was Christmas/New Year break.
I'll still try to keep up, we'll see how it goes.

Hope you do well with your studies, Mark. That is the most important thing, don't worry about us. We will all still be here when you are finished with school.

One of the courses that I'm taking is "Musical Master Works 1750 to Present."
We just finished studying Haydn, now onto Mozart.
Mozart was really amazing, and at a very young age. He composed and directed his first symphony at the age of 8. He was only 35 when he died. Yet he had time to write over 600 compositions. Many of his symphonies and sonatas are on utube.

That is pretty amazing. I didn't realize he only lived to be 35. What did he die from?

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Given the fact that the medical profession was rudimentary at best in the 1700s, I don't think that we will ever know for certain what his cause of death was. Speculation consisted of infection from blood letting, syphilis, rheumatic fever, renal failure from vasculitis, officially he was reported to have died from "severe military fever," whatever that is/was.
He died too young, genius that he was.
That begs the response 'that the candle that burns the brightest, burns itself out the quickest.' That is paraphrasing Lao Tzu.

Perhaps I should start writing some quizzes on the old Masters.
Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Haydn, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Chopin, and Verdi.

Perhaps indeed, my good man. Dost thou suppose these Neanderthal barbarians around heah wouldst have the slightest clue as to what thou were speaking?

Kevin,
Are you making fun of me?

Making fun, thou sayeth? Don't be absurd, my good man. Indeed, any true follower of the great masters is far too sophisticated to engage in such poppycock as making fun.

Ahyuk! Marketh and Kevineth and Elleth!

Do you think Elleth may have killed Jazzee's blog by asking a real, honest to God question? I hope not.

I responded to that in my Buddy blog, Elle. Felt more comfortable doing it there than here.

My upcoming presentation is on Frederic Chopin. Another great master who had his first composition published at the age of 7. He toured Europe before he was 16 as a Piano Virtuoso and Composer for Piano.
A couple of his most famous compositions are:

So, I had this hot date. I mean, this guy was "Too Good To Say Goodbye," so I started "Calling All My Lovelies" to help me with my hair. I had a BAD "Perm" that was way too "Chunky" and I needed some "Finesse." We all decided to go with "Straight Up & Down." Confident at last, he picked me up for dinner, and assured me, "That's What I Like." He said, "Girl, you are '24K Magic.'" Afterward, what can I say? "Versace On The Floor." -- Bruno Mars

I was the "New Kid In Town." After living "Life In The Fast Lane," I had been a "Victim Of Love," wasn't up for anymore "Wasted Time" and was ready to "Try Love Again."

Driving down the road, I saw those "Pretty Maids All In A Row," wasn't sure where they were pointing, and then saw "The Last Resort" up ahead.

Unfortunately, it was the "Hotel California."

You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.. (Hotel California -- The Eagles)

"Here I Am," hanging out with my "Sweet Little Sister," "Makin' A Mess" because we are the "Youth Gone Wild." Out of nowhere comes this "Midnight/Tornado" with his "Big Guns," assuring me he wants a "Piece Of Me." "I Remember You," I said. "Sorry, but I 'Can't Stand The Heartache.' You might want to consider doing the 'Rattlesnake Shake' right on out of here, or one of us is going to end up doing '18 and Life,' and I would prefer it not be me. -- Skid Row, "Skid Row"

Like most "Women," I just need some "Love And Affection." It's not "Hysteria," and I'm not "Excitable," but let's face it. Sometimes "Love Bites." Then I saw this guy who was certain he was one of the "Gods Of War." I mean, this guy was an "Animal." He offered to "Pour Some Sugar On Me." Who says something that cheesy?? So I pulled out my "Rocket" and he cried, "Don't Shoot Shotgun!" I gave him 30 seconds to "Armageddon It" right on out of there and watched him "Run Riot." Sigh... What's a girl to do? -- Def Leppard, "Hysteria"

Did I mention how tired I am of "Wasted Time?" I'm sure I have... Just "The Threat" of anymore "Monkey Business" or "Psycho Love" with some "Creepshow" makes me want to hide "In A Darkened Room" and pray to "Quicksand Jesus" to figure out a way to read the "Riot Act" to the next "Mudlicker" and tell him to "Get The **** Out!" I feel like I'm "Livin' On A Chain Gang." You know, just a "Slave To The Grind." Girls, I know you get me, but what are we gonna do? -- Skid Row "Slave To The Grind"
