Blue doesn't necessarily mean "sad," though, Mark. Blue is my favorite color. And my favorite flavor, even if it's sometimes bittersweet.

"Blues Is A Good Woman, Feelin' Bad"

"You Gotta Suffer If You Want To Sing The Blues"

I don't have an album in mind yet, but I'm bumping this up again to remind myself that I need to come up with one or two. I don't want this blog to suddenly disappear! It's active.

Blue absolutely doesn't mean sad.
When I see the ocean, I see blue, and you know how much I love the ocean.
The Earth is the Blue Planet, with about 70% blue.

I just Googled, 'songs with blue in the title' and it gave me 75, and it didn't even go back to my favorite musical era.

Yeah, I think blue is a very happy, cheerful color. I wonder just exactly how and where and when blue became associated with sadness and hard times and all that.

Hey, Elle, how come you are being such a stranger on the threads? Is it just that you are not feeling up to doing much posting on them? If that is the case, I just hope you get to feeling better soon. You always have a lot of fun and interesting stuff to say.

Baby's Got Blue Eyes...

I'm bumping this back up, so it doesn't fade away, because I'm going to be writing more, more, MORE albums out of songs. Just not right this minute.

…how did I miss this blog? It’s right up my alley!

My guy friend admitted that he had been “Ruled By Secrecy” and told me about all of his “Propaganda”. So, today I got a little “Agitated” when he said, “Follow Me” to look outside at the “Supermassive Black Hole” in the sky. I worried that “Time is Running Out,” that we would all be pulled into “The Void” and I wondered about our “Survival”. Certainly the world would be in “Hysteria” and even if we did live, what would be the “Aftermath”?
After a while I realized he was suffering from “Space Dementia” and turned out to be a “Psycho!” He preached on and on with his “Madness” until I gave him the “Big Freeze” and shut him out.
Next thing I new… “Butterflies and Hurricanes” surrounded us all! I no longer lived in the “City of Delusion” and was stunned and “Ashamed” to realize he was right all along!
My friend grabbed his “Map of the Problematique” and shot us up right into space, away from the black hole!
Now… we feel “Invincible” as we “Endlessly” roam through space, “Explorers” forever… “Feelin’ Good.”

Lovely, amazing songs from an amazing band: Muse

Wow, Jen, you're good! I don't know how you missed this one, but I'm sorry I didn't tell you about it earlier. I come in here when I'm feeling inspired and self-entertain.

I was feeling a little “Blue” one day, while acknowledging that the word blue doesn’t necessarily mean sad, anyway, I digress, I was feeling a bit down one day. I had eaten some “Delicious” fish and left the restaurant, telling the cook there, “So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish”! I was remembering my friend, “Judith,” who decided to commit a “Vanishing” days ago. We’d had a bad fight. I felt incredibly “Weak and Powerless” that she was gone. “I’m ‘Thinking of You’,” I called out loud to my friend. It was time to stop being so “Passive” and “Get the Lead Out”.
I no longer wanted to be “A Stranger” and visited Judith “By and Down the River”.
To patch things up, I bought her a gift. I presented her with “The Package,” feeling like “The Outsider” as she stared at me. Judith admitted we needed a good “TalkTalk”. We both assessed the “Gravity” of the situation and agreed: life was too short.
Long story short… we’re as close as ever, and we’re both glad that our fight is now “Over”!

From the one and only A Perfect Circle.

Elle, it’s funny how the song titles make a story as I go along! I’m looking forward to reading more of yours. :)

Oh wow, Jen! Someone to play with in here! You are so good at this!

They just kind of fly out of you when you're inspired, don't they?

I've got a few percolating in the back of my brain right now. Maybe I'll bring them to the front and see what I can come up with.

Mark was really “Asking For It” when he confronted his “Bully” the other day. An “Outcast,” often “Left Out,” Mark didn’t have many friends. The bully, Kyle, was “Dangerous” and wasn’t intimated by Mark’s surging “Adrenaline.” Clearly, these two were “Enemies,” no two ways about it. For Kyle picked on any others who showed even the slightest bit of fear.
The last time Kyle picked on Mark, the bullied promised, “Some Day… I’ll let my Monsters show. I’m Not Alright and it’s your fault. For My Sake, I hope you learn how wrong this is.”
That day was today.
“I Dare You to fight me,” Kyle pushed Mark, who fell down.
“What A Shame” for Mark to be hurt like that. Was it a “Cry For Help” that he demanded respect back from his enemy? Mark stood, however, not “Breaking Inside.”
“If I could get your Attention, Attention,” Mark sang as he stepped closer to the bully. “Everyone has a Darkside. Allow me to show you mine. It will help expose your Black Soul.”
Speaking of souls, a “Devil” now stood in front of Kyle! It wasn’t alone… other “Creatures” and “Monsters” surrounded the bully. “Allow us to Shed Some Light on you,” the demon snarled at Kyle.
“Save Me!” Kyle screamed, backtracking away from the foray of angry monsters.
The picked-on people who posed as demons and monsters were “Thick As Thieves” and made Kyle promise to live in “Unity” with the rest of the world. Kyle was stronger and faster than the others…
But… it was a “Miracle!” By frightening Kyle, the others showed what a “Fake” he was after all.
Kyle ended up “Lost in the Crowd,” promising never to be a bully to anyone ever again.

Shinedown is a band that happens to live in my heart.
